Hello, this is ryanpitts. I am here to bring you Vetronia’s first Build-Off! This is where five to six competitors will build to the best of their capabilities to win great rewards.
Time and Place
The time will be at 3:00 PST on June 2 (Saturday). The place to meet will be at spawn in Vetropolis and we will head to the building area from there. The event will last until 3:45 and you should try to get their earlier than 3:00 as well! Winners will be announced in game as well as on the website. Prizes will be paid out within 2 days of contest end.
The Reward
First Place: 20,000 shillings.
Second Place: 5,000 shillings.
Third Place: 1,000 shillings.
Materials
Materials must be brought by you, but the judges will help you demolish your build and will give the materials back afterwards. So start gathering!
Judges
For this first competition, their will be three judges. I will be a judge for most of these competitions, but my special guests this time will be Emulated and Lilmack96.
Rules
- Do not touch other peoples’ builds
- Do not argue with the judges or other competitors
- Accept your win/loss
- Do not back down halfway through
- Stay inside of your own area
What The Build Is
The build’s info will not be given out until right before the contest. This is to keep people from being tempted to preparing or cheating, as this is a contest of skill, not how well you can copy something.
How You Can Join
You can join by posting a message stating that you will be able to be on at the right time and be able to do it in the topic this post turns into. Remember, we need at least five people, so try to make this first one a success!

i will enter but beg the question wil you tell us weather to bring redstone or if its not nessesary?
I suppose I would give out vague details like that if it was required, but since this is just our first one and is more of a test I will tell you that this will not require anything too extravagant. But no, you should not need that.

Will making redstone uses in the house give us more points? Can you give us a point criteria and a description on each subject? Also, will food be available to contestants?
It completely depends. We will be giving points on exterior design (outside), interior design (inside), and the use of the building for this one. So if redstone gives any extra effects on those, then yes. I can supply food if it’s needed though, I guess. I didn’t really think of that. 😛

I have a question, Will we be allowed to know what our building spots dimensions are? Or would that be considered cheating?
During the build? The size of your plot will be very obvious. Right now it doesn’t really matter though, as I can tell you that they will definitely be big enough to hold everyone.
I’m off work an hour before the contest begins, so I’ll be there for sure.
