I'm new to the server and I'm just wondering what the quickest way to get around is - via boat, feet, warps, or portals. Thanks!

It would be the portal ships by a wide margin for most players. They're located in harbors all over the map but you can find the largest collection in the spawn's harbor. Outside of the portal ships, you should consider looking into the varios upgrades abailable. There is a link at the top of this page thst will give you more information on the myriad of benifits available to donors, including the abikity to teleport to residences, or even to other players!
Another quick and easy method of transportation is the /home command. Default players have access to two homes that you can set with the /sethome command. If you find yourself needing more then two, again check out the upgrades page to see how you can unlock more.

The quickest way is probably the Portal Ships. There is also an extensive rail system accessible close to spawn. You can also use /spawn, and you can set 2 homes. Happy travels!
