status of the server is online, and i can see people on the live map so that must be the case, but when i try to connect all it says is "Can't connect to server"

 

what can this depend on?

i have the latest update

Gide, VeteranCraft hasn't updated to 1.7 yet, so that might be why.

Re-install 1.6.4 and see if that gets you in?

oh, ok, thanks.

i can't seem to find a way to re-install 1.6.4,

on minecraft website it's only the latest or 1.5.2 and i don't want that old one.

Check what version you are using. The launcher defaults to "use latest version". So if its still on that it would try to use 1.7.2. The server is using 1.6.4.

 

Open your launcher and under your profile click edit profile. Set it to use version 1.6.4. Then save profile. 

 

If thats not the issue then I would be no help. :)
