I've been working on some SEO stuff with VeteranCraft, and one thing we need to do (probably at least once a quarter) is press releases. I won't get into the SEO benefits, but let's just say they're super important and with VeteranCraft, I can see them being a highly relevant method to get publicity... More so than say a plumbing contractor's website... We actually have interesting things going on.

What I'm looking for is one or several writers to help contribute your awesome skills to VeteranCraft's community. You don't need to be a Pulitzer Prize winner.. just a decent writer. I'd much rather have a release written from the perspective of a community member than have to hire some copywriter to do the same from a clueless perspective.

What it would be:

  • You would write a 600-800 word press release or article about a topic I give you.
  • Example of a press release topic: "VeteranCraft Breaks Minecraft Server Convention by Going Legit"... or "Year-Old Minecraft Server Growing in Popularity Among Adults"... you get the idea.

After it's written and edited, I will do my SEO thing and submit it to dozens of press release distribution sites & build strategic links to those.

What's in it for You??

  • Mad props
  • A hug from frelling
  • 20,000 shillings if your contribution is published
  • Author credit in the release (your real name or your persona)

Personal Note:

We've lost a significant amount of financial donorships in recent weeks, and with increased server costs, we need all the help we can get. If you can't contribute financially, your talents are just as appreciated. Thanks guys.

That's awesome LWK, I'm looking forward to it.

You can actually email it (word doc or whatever) to info [@] veterancraft.net

Note to others, feel free to still apply- we'll need more !

I'd love to help if I could. Should I just write up a rough draft of one of the example posts or should I try something else as an , application, ?

I wouldn't mind doing one.  I'm not the greatest at writing, but I'd like to take a stab at it.

This is my signature and I hope you enjoy it. - Dalferes

Thanks for the interest guys, the more the merrier. I've already received LWK's article and it's currently being syndicated. Here's a copy of it.

If you pitch me the title idea (for what the topic would be about) I'll give you the go ahead.

Side note: LWK's article was over 900 words, which is AWESOME. They can be over 500 but no less than 500 words. Preferably at least 600 words.
