I have yet to hear back from him....my last response from him was on October 2nd, and he hasn't answered my attempts since then.
At the very least, it doesn't bode well for VC, but I too hope all is well with him. So long as the site and server are online, I have to assume he's alright and just keeping radio silence.

I have heard back from Frelling, and he IS alright. I can't speak to how VC is doing, or when Arda will be back up or when we'll update. He will need to make that post on his own. But I wanted to reassure you all that things are still happening.

Please revive VC. I started playing minecraft again, and i hate all these other damn servers. I miss this one. Its been sad to see this server gone after so long..
Hopefully we'll all play again..

Hello to you both! My apologies that there hasn't been any movement on restoring the Arda and updating VC.
Unfortunately, I'm not able to provide an update for you. All work on VC is being done by Frelling....I'm just a go-between at this point; my work on VC has always been in-game and not on the back-end. As I'm provided with information, I most certainly will pass it on, but the truth is that Frelling will need to provide the update either directly or through me.
I haven't heard from Frelling since the beginning of January, but I've reached out again to see if there is an update I can give.
All the best to you guys, and again my apologies that things are still as they are.

I have not heard back from Frelling since January, despite several efforts to reach him. At this point I've stopped trying, tbh. I hope he's alright, too, and it's a good sign that VC is still online, as it means someone is paying the bills, but otherwise I have no idea.

Hope everything is going well, I was pretty busy with deployments the past two years so I haven't been able to play at all really. It's a shame that the server is down and I still have hope for a revamp. Much love to you guys, it's been a long time since I've enjoyed the family-like community on this server. Good luck with everything!

Not sure what to say. Weeks tuned to months, and months have turned to years. VC was a very special place, and I will miss the product of my time in Arda. R.I.P.

Indeed. The last time I logged in to VC it wasn't running well, barely at all. R.I.P. I couldn't even open containers. Something is truly busted.
My apologies for missing your post, marinesbro23. Those who have posted or contacted me on Facebook I have messaged privately until now. But since I don't hear back from Frelling anymore myself, and there's been absolutely no movement, I have nothing with which to provide hope to you both, or to anyone who sees this.
I'm violating VC's own rules by doing this, but at this point it's a small risk. At the very least, it's not like I'm taking active players away from the server, right?
A number of us have found a home on EosCraft. https://www.eoscraftmc.com/ Some came and left, others check in every now and then. Others, such as myself, Dalferes (now Emperor_Kefka) and TheFinalSnow have flourished. It's NOT VC (nothing could be), but it's close. As close as I've seen. And it's active, which is the important thing. Usually 5-10 players on at any one time. Anyone who was good on VC would be welcome there.
I don't expect there to be much more reason for me to post here, unless a miracle happens. But you'll be able to find me at the link above. I hope you all are doing well, and best of luck in whatever you've been doing.

Greetings Veterancrafters. I just want to second LightWarriorK's post.
Eoscraft has a few great things going for it:
- Longevity. Eoscraft has been an active server since August 2010, longer than when Veterancraft first started.
- Building incentives. There are four builder ranks to achieve (in sequential order), which offer perks per rank. Every build must be something built using vanilla Minecraft (mcmmo items, among others** are allowed)
- Flexibility. At it's core, Eos is a SMP server. However, we offer various gameplays, such as creative plots, adventure mode (offers custom items better than what's available in vanilla Minecraft), PVP gamemodes - such as capture the flag, spleef, 1 v 1's, among others -- This is the only time you're able to kill someone in game.
- Active playerbase. With Eos' longevity comes with it a whole slew of players. To be honest, Minecraft isn't as popular as it once was, however we do have a active community, even with this honest truth. Right now we're at 10 players active on the server, but I've seen as high as 40 or 50, and I'd say average is around 15.
- Upkeep. While admittedly, yes, the server owner does hide ever so often, the server is still constantly maintained and updated with fixes, new plugins, fleshed out idea, as well as some quality of life.
- General perks. Perks are bought via points (accrued from voting) or real money (helps maintain server costs). Perks can start out to be basic, like additional homes and virtual crafting - to fly and god mode - and eventually head database and creative mode.
While I'm sure we all wish progress was made on Veterancraft (myself included), Eoscraft has seemed to fill the void for a lot of us here. There are a whole bunch more great stuff Eos offers that I didn't include, but I didn't want to spoil everything

I'll be honest, I don't have too much to add that these two haven't elaborately explained already.
But y'all remember how we paid subscriptions for donor perks on VC? 35$ per month for /god, compass TP, and /spa? While the latter unfortunately doesn't exist on Eos, 40$ unlocks /god, /fly, compass TP, 3 vaults (like ender chests but double)... and the best part is that it's all entirely permanent! Even if you're someone like me who considered never donating to a Minecraft server again (Eos changed my mind rather quickly) after what happened here, you can unlock the ranks for free through voting!
So please, do yourself (and us) a favour and come visit us! We miss you all dearly and wish to expand the little haven we've made for our community within EosCraft.

I miss you guys and hope all is well. Vysca and I have been playing on another server, but we often talk about VC and the time we spent there. It was a server like none other.
I wonder what Meatballz has been up to? I wonder if someone else could take over the server and try to get it fixed. I just don't know.
I wish Frelling would let us know he's ok.
