I seem to be having a problem with spawning withers. I'm not sure if this is related to the problems with mobs spawning, so I thought I'd write here just so it's a known bug.

And no i'm not a noob and doing it wrong ;p

It seems to be activating somehow but it's like they aren't allowed to actually spawn... I'll leave it in the capable hands of the techs. Thanks for the help! :)

I'll ask it because it is likely the same thing that can prevent Nether Portals, Villager Trading, bucket dumping, etc., but....are you in your Claim?

There are indeed GP settings regarding the building of Iron Golems, Snow Golems and Wither Skeletons. I do not know what the default values of these are, nor what the current settings are in VC, but it's quite possible that it's indeed simply not possible outside claims.

AS LWK and Okarim suspect, you cannot create them in an unclaimed area. In short, GP prevents any player or environmental actions that have a potential for causing block damage.
