Hey, I'm mostly just curious at this point; in my planning of projects I like to know in advance what would be possible.

If on request, and IF it makes sense for a project (say, if the project is 100% complete except for this one thing), would it be possible for staff to approve and implement a removal of the bedrock layer, so there is a cavern with the Void below?

It could really enhance an idea I'm toying with, but if it's not something that would be allowed then that's ok.  Thanks!

It definitely should be possible, and I want to know more about what you are talking about before saying anything else. What exactly would it do to enhance the project?

I have awesome shoulders.

Maybe having it cordoned off, so people can't "fall" into the void.  That's the only foreseeable problem I have with it.

There are 3 steps one must take to profit in today's economy: 1.) Learn from lessons taught by others 2.) Don't give away everything you know.

Well, the idea is mostly unformed right now.  The thought is to have a "temple" of sorts below Highmoor, in a large cavern.  But the "mysterious, powerful, ominous, eldrich, etc" effect of such a place would be enhanced by a great void of nothingness below.  The lights of a temple contrasted against a great blackness below....that would be really cool.

However, worst case, as I said I would be fine doing the entire project before a decision was made.  And if the answer is no, I'd just leave most of it unlit.  I just was curious as to whether it could even be done, or would be considered.

I didn't even think about that, but honestly I'm not worried.  It IS Survival, after all, and I would think signs and basic precautions should be plenty.  I wouldn't plan on any trap door traps, as cool as that would be.

Sounds cool to me, but I think we should let meat and/or frell decide. Smile

Thanks.  IF it's possible and they'd think about it, then it's still something that wouldn't need a thumbs up/down for a long while, not until the layers are ready to be removed.

If it doesn't cause any issues with crashing/server performance I'd be ok with it.

Thanks meat.   :)  If it's fine with frell, then I'll just leave this lying here until I'm ready.
