A few things.  I was on the very southern edge of Telgar and we had a lot of lag.  Through discussion we figured I was too close to the edge so  I moved inland a little bit.  It didn't help the lag.

So I started moving quite far inland to where Ravenshagh is working.  On my way my boat went off the map, started falling in a most spectacular way and I started to die.  /home didn't work (obstructed I believe the error was?) and I respawned back at spawn, losing everything of course.  Not sure if this is useful information.  I will start again and work closer to the middle of the map to see if that helps with the lag issue and keep on testing!

Thanks for the report!  The server has been seeing some lag since yesterday.  Not sure whether frelling is working on things which is causing it, or whether it's a memory issue or what, but I've let him know about it.  He's checking the forums for error reports so he should see this as well.

For documentation's sake: This issue has been resolved. A configuration oversight had the Telgar server running only in 2GB of memory, which while good for local testing, is not so great for a running server. We have bumped up the memory to 4GB, which should provide sufficient breathing room. If not, we can always allocate more memory.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experiences of others, are also remarkable for their disinclination to do so. - D. Adams
