I just purchased an addition to my res SlocumsRetreat that was supposed to cover the bottom 2 floors of my house. The server took the 875 shillings, but when I checked, my res does not include the new area. I do not see where there is any change to my res. How do I figure out what happened and hopefully get my money back?

Sorry this happened. When a staff member is on, or even some capable players, they should be able to assist with finding it. If it took your shillings, the area should exist.....somewhere.
Here's some things to try:
/res area list SlocumsRetreat - should list all your additional areas. You should see your new one listed there. If you don't, don't worry about anything below here, we'll figure out what happened.
/res tp SlocumsRetreat.[newareanamehere] - should tp to you to where the new area is
/res select residence SlocumsRetreat.[newareanamehere] - creates the selection you had made when you bought the area
/res select coords - displays the x/y/z coordinates of the selection. Verify it's location.
Now, if you find the area, and somehow it ended up where you didn't want it, you can move it. Do this once you've done the above:
/res select size - shows you the exact number of blocks in your selection of where the new area currently is.
Use your wooden sword to make the new selection where you want it.
/res select coords & /res select size - to verify the location is accurate and the size is at least as large as the existing area
/res area replace SlocumsRetreat [newareanamehere] - Will move the area to the new selection. If the new selection is the same size as the existing area, there will be no additional charge. If the new selection is larger than the existing area, you'll be charged the difference. [Note: this method is also the easiest way to expand areas, so you don't use up your limited additional areas.] BEWARE: if the new selection is smaller than the existing area, you do NOT get refunded for the decrease in size.
I hope that helps. I know it's complicated, Res takes a while of doing it a lot to know what you need to do. If you're not comfortable with any of that, so long as you don't replace with the command, everything else above is just selection and information and won't impact you. We can help you when we're online (for me, later tonight).
In the future, remember to use "/res select coords" to always verify the coordinates before you create or replace a Res or area. I also find it helpful to use a spreadsheet to keep close track of my areas. Highmoor is over 20 million Res'd blocks in size, all within the same Residence, using nearly all of the additional areas available to Viceroys. Keeping track of each area's x/y/z coordinates are critical to making sure they are placed and expanded how I want without losing any shillings.
Good luck!

Thank you light warrior. That fixed the trouble. For some reason I told it to expand while facing one direction and it expanded it in the opposite direction. Was able to remark the area I wanted and move it. Several of those commands need to be added tot he website or explained a lot better.
Again thank you for the assistance.
