Howdy!

I found a spot I really, really love on Seraph's map and I wanted to build a city there but then I found out that it resets every now and then so it wouldn't make sense to build there. I was hoping I could get the seed of the map for my own single player use so I could use this really great mountain spot! I looked on minecraft.net forums and as far as I know the only way I could find the seed is for the owner of the sever to find it for me. If it can't be done, or you don't want to, that okay. I was just seeing if it was possible.

Hi thatundergrad,

 

Unfortunately, we wont provide you with the Seed to the map, however, your idea that it resets is true. But it will not be reset until it is absolutely necessary to do so.  This could be more than a year or two in the future.  Build wherever you like, Im sure your city will last for quite some time, and you will be notified well in advance of any sort of shut down, or server map reset.  You will be given plenty of time to gather your materials, if you wish to do so.
