Hey, I need to get animals to my island here: http://maps.veterancraft.net/?.....;z=3881.25

So I need to build a temporary bridge across the water for them to get over.

I'm not going to be the one to tell you its OK to build a bridge, but I will say it'd be better to build a tunnel from the mainland to your land. The tunnel will still allow you to bring animals with you through the use of luring them with their food, and you can dig it deep enough to not interfere with water traffic. PLUS you can leave it up forever.

Just a thought. If another mod wants to weigh in, feel free.

If you can accomplish this feat within the span of a single session in-game, then you may go ahead. This means the bridge must be entirely removed when you log out.

Good Idea Pherian, but I'll find the animals, build a temp pen next to the ocean then get them over as quick as I can.

I'm pretty much free all day tomorrow so I'll have plenty of time.

Having done this particular task, I feel the need to chime in.

In the time it would take to build a temporary bridge with 2-high side walls to prevent the derps from falling into the water, you could just swim them over. It's tedious but it's faster than what you're proposing. You can do it in 2 trips (wheat, carrots) - don't bother with chickens (you can just use eggs). If you ask really nicely AND throw me your clay supplies, I can be convinced to help reduce it to 1 trip. Wink
