Tax time, and we are looking at buying a super-cheap computer for the boys to use so that:
(1) Daniel can do homework (a 1st grader... he needs a computer more than once a week for homework. Can you believe it?)
(2) They don't get on ours.
(3) They can play their silly G-Mod and Minecraft and VeteranCraft (which you've noticed they only do when we are also on.)
I've seen $200-$280 Chromebooks and windows laptops with AMD (i3 equivalent?) chips at Wal-Mart online and Best Buy.
Would one of these be suitable for the boys to be able to get on MC and VC?
I don't know enough about what the graphics and RAM needs are.
Can folks advise?
Thanks!!

AMD chips should run Minecraft well enough- my last computer had it and ran minecraft fine on low-mid settings. Downloading Optifine will also help with most issues.
In my experience, just avoid any computer that has "Intel HD Graphics" or anything similar, minecraft runs HORRIBLY on integrated graphics. Believe me, I know. x_x
Hope this helps!
