I wanted to check before starting a build to see if something would violate the rules.
I want to build a farm for ghasts and gold on top of bedrock.
No breaking of bedrock to do it. Looking for a trick to enter pearl up there
With that in mind. All redstone will be user toggled and entity activated (e.g. No non stop clocks)
no afk (will probably hole up in a bunker and make potions, craft, etc)
Entities will be insta killed (either by drop, suffocation or immediately by player) with entities under 200
No mass portals for gold farming, etc.
Also, any rules about claiming a nether fortress (in case I find one that can spawn either skeletons above bedrock due to chunk ranges?)
So a summarized list of what I'm asking
* can I build a farm on top of the nether?
* can I claim a nether fortress?
I also found the following discussions regarding the nether and bedrock and farms.

To briefly answer:
- No, you may not build on top of the Nether. As frelling said in the first link, that ability has been removed, so to use a "trick" to get up there is not legal.
- Yes, you can claim Nether fortresses. Just remember to abandon the claim before the Nether is reset, when that ever happens.
