Hi, just wondering if the mod better sprint is allowed. I was told to come here to ask if it was okay. I don't think anybody wants to hear me explain how it works so here is where i downloaded it (the page explains the mod). http://www.9minecraft.net/bett.....nting-mod/

Thanks, ramous15

I believe this mod would be ok, as it is more of a quality of life improvement and does not actually give you any new abilities that a person without the mod doesn't have.

So, I would give it a tentative approval, with the understanding that I am not part of the Tech Team, nor do I have the final say.  Should someone else on the staff see an issue with it, then you may need to uninstall it at that point.

I would concur, it seems to only be an interface mod, not an ability mod.  If approved, I might get it if only for the Sneak toggle!

Having briefly looked at the mod's description, I do not see any feature that would violate our rules - particular those regarding movement hacks. Since it is purported to only be a user-interface mod (i.e. making it easier to use stock features of the game), I believe it to be acceptable.

Should it become apparent that this mod adds other "undocumented features" that would violate our rules, we reserve the right to disallow it.

Alright thanks guys! btw I highly recommend it, it's a very nice thing to "toggle sneak" with a button! :P

I've just downloaded this myself and tried it out - I haven't noticed any undocumented features either that would turn this into a cheat. Really helpful having sprint moved from double-tapping forward to an actual button press, not to mention the toggle options for sprint and stealth (crouch). As long as this is ok'ed by those in charge, I think I may keep this installed myself -- I'm so used to having sprint on button press when playing PC FPS's that this fits right in now... thanks, and good find there! Smile
