I was playing vc a few minutes ago and all the sudden I timed out and now I cannot log back in on the live map there seems to be only 1 player online. I'm not entirely sure what happened but I suspect that the server for some reason seems to have crashed if anyone could help shed some light on what happened that would be great.

server-status.JPGImage Enlargerminecraft-status.JPGImage EnlargerI went ahead and checked mojangs website and screenshotted both my client and the mojang help page. As far as I can tell there is something glitching either going on with my client or mojang. So hopefully this helps.

I'm having the same problem! I went through all the crazy troubleshooting steps I could think of, so I'm glad others are having this issue and my computer isn't just screwed up! A Reddit thread suggests it could be a EULA issue on the server?

The server is back up as of 9:20 PM EDT. In hindsight, we were a victim of a small DoS attack late this afternoon. That itself shouldn't have been an issue because our data center's DoS filter kicked in shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, because the server had not been restarted for a couple of days, it had accumulated enough memory "leaks" that such a mild attack caused it to run out of memory and thusly shut itself down gracefully. In essence, it was a type of "perfect storm" that normally would never have happened.

Regrettably, the alert system can't alert if it isn't configured properly. I must have forgotten to restore its operational configurations while testing it earlier this week. Although it was faithfully sending texts every 5 minutes, it was sending them to an SMS test line rather than our phones. It wasn't until I returned to my office that I noticed that Arda was flagged as shut down on the system status display.

P.S. Monthly sponsor stipends may be delayed for another 12-24 hours so that we can finish last month's sponsor reconciliation.
