I haven't had time to play lately, but I need to drop in once in awhile to keep up my account, so I logged in this morning. But I was dead, and I don't know how that happened, or even where I was, so of course everything on me is evaporating.
Can anyone check a log or something, and see how I managed to die while offline? I don't even know what all I had in inventory...

I can't get on until tonight, but let me follow up on some things:
As far as I know, it's not possible to log in and "be dead." It's possible to log in and "die." If you were dead when you logged off (i.e., rage quit), you should log in at spawn, not dead. So was it that you logged in and instantly died?
We HAVE had a few instances where some bug or another, usually related to where players were standing when they logged out, would log back in to the Void, fall, and die. It's also possible that if someone saw you log off, they might have trapped that spot so it would kill you when you logged back in. If you did die the moment you logged in, what was the death message, if you remember?
If it's a case where you actually are just "dead," and lying there while your stuff is evaporating, that should not be. I think there were bugs that were like that way back when SMP was first implemented, but those were cleared up years ago. However, if that's the case, take a picture of what is happening, and better yet, find your coordinates.
As for how it could have happened without your knowledge, the simplest reasons are almost always right. Either a) someone else has access to your account, like a sibling or friend, b) you were trapped at your log-off point, as mentioned above, or c) a bug is causing you to "be dead."
If you can help out with some of this additional info, we'll see what we can find out. Thanks, and good luck!

You died at -4916, 10, -4903. There were no items at that location. I've taken the liberty of setting the residence teleport point of your Residence "Aminitshire.royalquarter" to directly in front of where you died so you may see for yourself.
Since those coordinates are under water, my guess is you drown. I double checked, and if I close my client after I've drown but before I click "Respawn", I log in "dead".

No, it wasn't an insta-death on login. When I logged in, it was to the 'you are dead' screen.
I was within one of my own named areas, not at spawn until I clicked the button and it moved me there (back to life, back to reality.) So, unlikely anyone could have killed me while I was logging in, but the screen wasn't showing me the world. Now I wish I'd taken a screenshot.
No one else has access to my account.
If you have any way of checking a log, that would be really helpful.
Thanks much.
