Recently (1-2 days) I've been experiencing some crazy and very strange block glitches.

When ever I enter my piston door, or place a block, or even break a block some weird textures appear on the block...

Anyone else having this problem, or anyone know how to fix it?

It looks like it's client side, perhaps with your texture pack? My suggestion is to remove and re install Minecraft.

I re-installed the minecraft.jar file and it worked. Thanks Tony! Also I was using the default texture pack.

Well, it seems that the block glitches have come back. I really don't want to re-install MC and all my mods every time it happens. Any other suggestions? Having a lot of technical problems lately... Have you checked for updates to your graphics card driver?  I have seen issues to that on other games cleared up by updating the drivers.

I am playing Vanilla (Completely fresh!) and all seems good. I don't know about all that graphics drive stuff. If It happens while I am playing on Vanilla I will seek more help.

Thanks!

Have you cleaned out all the dust bunnies from your computer, especially your graphics card? It may sound like a silly question, but it has real world impacts.

But beyond that, if you mod your client then you should also learn how to keep multiple versions or variations around (e.g. pristine copy and modded copy). This falls outside the scope of Veterancraft support.

I am thinking about giving my PC a good clean, maybe tomorrow.  I am also looking into how to run 2 different versions of MC, a modded one and a Vanilla one.

I'll let ya know if anything else goes wrong...

Thanks,
