When we /shop find [item], we get the name of the shop that carries what we're looking for, and how far away from our location it is.  No indication of direction.

On Vet, I think we could see which shops were where on the map.  In Arda, we can only see the owner of the claim, not the name of the shop housed within it (or even if a shop is there at all.)

Can anyone suggest a way to make shops easier to find?  Are there any enhancements in the works that might allow us to see shop names on the map?  Are there approved mods that would guide us somehow?

In Vetronia it was easy to find shops because staff took the time to organize an area with unit numbers, and required shops to prefix their names with unit numbers.

The market that has sprouted near the southern portal is entirely player run, and as such lacks organization. Part of our reasoning for decentralization of the markets is to avoid the bidding wars the Merchant Hall encouraged. Now if you want to purchase something, instead of walking a short distance to the lowest available price, you have to deal with finding a reliable shop that has a suitable location.

This allows for a much more competitive market. Location, reliability, price, and advertising all play a part now.

The only suggestion I would make would be to replace the distance indicator with a coordinate indicator.

Short answer is "yes".
