All my hostile mobs pet dissapeared

Since yesterday all my hostile mob pets disappeared. This cannot be a coincidence, and the only way they could have died is a kill command. My proof for this is that my Silverfish, who were in a 1 high spot. The only way they could have been killed is if someone broke the blocks that encased them. However, log block shows that no one broke those blocks.

Both Mr_Macintosh and I have worked really hard getting those Silverfish there, and those aren't the only mobs I lost. You can see that I am pretty angry at this because name tags aren't free, but I also paid Mac for finding me those Silverfish.

And no, to those of you who think they suffocated, it is literally impossible considering they can't suffocate in glass. They were all named, and Entity Logs show absolutely nothing. /kill is the only possibility in this situation.

Here's exactly what I lost:

5 Silverfish

1 Wither (Like, an actual Wither)

1 Chicken Jockey (Only the baby zombie)

1 Witch

All I want is explanations on why my pets were killed and if this was voluntary or not.

Chances are that they were collateral damage by being near someone that was caught AFK Spawner Camping. Hostile mobs are /butcher'ed to remove excessive loads on our CPUs. Case in point there, between two players I found one with 400+ skeletons and another with 200+ spiders.

There is nothing that I can do about this right now, but find me in-game later tonight and I will see what I can do restore some of your "zoo."

However, for future reference, the existence of hostile mobs is at our discretion. We make no guarantee that they will survive for an extended period of time and make wipe some or all of them depending upon circumstances.

Lastly, please leave you anxieties/annoyances on the other side of the keyboard.
