Now I know many of you are tired of this kind of post, but here are the pros and cons on why I thing we should expand. We wouldn\'t need to expand that much, just so that new players can have nice land too, because honestly, all the nice mountains and islands are taken already.

-Nice land for new players, also with the horse spawning only in new chunks problem will be fixed.
-New chunks that will make horses, Name tags and horse armour available in the main world.
-Unexplored caves for mining and etc.

-Uses up more RAM

For all you older players who are against this because they already have nice land, take us noobs in consideration. Please :D

This wont happen for a while as there is lots of more lands to build on, its just that players needs to explore some more, nothing comes served on a plate :P

And new land wont spawn horses in main world as we are using a beta 1.8 world seed if we are going to be expanding again else its gona be looking weird if using a newer seed and this is why we have the second worlds for, when new content comes we use them to reset to get the new content if its major enough.

and when it comes to mining, that is what we also have the second worlds for :P

As soon as 1.6 comes i guess the world dynmap will be up again and that is a good way to find new lands to build on. [SSSS]

I did a test to back what Figalo_Foo and Zenzar were saying. I took a mass expedition around an old town I used to own: Mineshaftia. I went far out into the wilderness, and here are some of my findings: Over 17 biomes (major or minor, ex. Riverbank, desert hill...) that are uninhabited or have one or two abandoned houses (removable), 24 connected mines that are untouched, 2 mineshafts that looked like they were barely explored, 4 spawners (located in the mineshaft), 1 ravine, and barely any inhabitants.

This was just around the abandoned town, now take the small area and imagine how much unscaved land is in all of VeteranCraft(plus Seraphs Realm is pretty uninhabited). I don't think we need to expand the borders until the updates of 1.9 or 2.1. Even then, I don't think we need to expand the borders.
There would be quite a bit of land left over, plus there are talks of reseting Seraphs Realm or replacing Outer Reaches (situation is unknown). Still, there is land to explore, you just need to look.

Expanding the border with a 1.6 seed wouldn't work. There would be an abrupt square wall around the old world with the new world outside it. On top of that, the map is not even close to being overcrowded. The map is scale to about the same size as manhattan Island. Imagine if 3 or 400 people had manhattan island to themselves, what they could build.
