Hey guys! I was thinking, with all the new updates already released, and some cool new updates yet to come, it would be nice to throw a new splash of paint on a few of the buildings in the server Capitol! I was tinkering around in single player and designed what I was hoping could be a new Bank of Vetropolis! Let me know what you think!

Picture Descriptions:

1. This picture shows the exterior facade of the building, and the proposed new green space to the left.

2. This picture shows the entrance and ground level windows. Ground level windows will wrap around entire building.

3. This picture shows an overview of the unfinished interior of the proposed bank.

4. This picture shows the exposed vault, which is visible from within the bank, and from the paths around the building.

5. This picture shows the interior architecture idea for the building.

What is not depicted is the other levels of the bank, this current idea is to create a simulated storage area, featuring multiple gated vaults, filled with all the most valuable blocks in minecraft, on display from within, and tastefully visible from the windows. Thanks again for taking the time to check this out and once again, let me know what you think!

What would really spruce up the place would be a giant monument in honor of nak1030 ;D

Yes! The old bank was the same style as the merchant hall (the old one) and the old "newb" building, but since both of those are gone, I think this would be a nice redesign of the bank to allow it to fit in with the current theme. It would be cool to see how it looks with the apartments.

I like it, except for the checker board floor pattern. Seriously not a big fan of those. Otherwise, it looks really good.

Will there be cubicles in the upper floors for all the hard-working bank employees?

I think it is fantastic and I am willing to help in building it if approved.

I like your ideas and the use of new materials. My only concern is that the exterior looks too similar to the apartment buildings. I like the architectural variety we have at spawn.

I think with a new look, it would add more interest to spawn. Many buildings appear outdated simply because of their appearance, so with a revamp to the bank it may brighten up the area a bit more. With the addition of the new merchant hall and apartments, spawn is taking on a more modern look which I enjoy. These new additions to the bank could prove to be what Vetropolis really needs to demonstrate the progressiveness of the server.

Approved, move forward! Looks very fitting. Make sure there's a vault for the Treasury to keep its gold safe. :)

I don't think it looks exactly like the apartments, but it does look like it matches, which is good. Vetropolis isn't intended to have every building look completely different... that would be pretty nooob. The architectural style should look similar and match (like a real city from the 1700s).

If you were to experiment with materials, though, maybe stained clay? Idk. I trust Tootaboo and Emulated's judgement. And I don't wanna nitpick too much or nothing will ever happen, and the current bank is pretty out of place now.

EDIT:

Oh, and Tootaboo, if you wanted to utilize the plot that the 'aquarium' is currently taking up, in addition to the bank, feel free. It's been on the chopping block anyways.
