Just for Roleplaying. It would be a small little thing for people to do for fun.
http://forums.bukkit.org/threa.....000.26135/
And also Vamptropolis would have a reason. (Since you have to have an altar to become one)
and once you become a vampire in this mod you can turn back, it's not a perminant thing.
It's just a little plugin to add some roleplaying fun into minecraft. ^_^
~Thanks!

There is a more robust and updated version of this available. I'll post some information below for everyone's reading enjoyment.

They would be able to turn back whenever. If they think it's a bit annoying having to stay inside in the day. I personally think it's a really fun plugin.![]()
I agree, this would be a perfect mod for those into the whole role-playing thing. It can be quite entertaining seeing little gangs of vampires roaming around the server at night on the hunt through the forest

It sounds awesome, fun and like it would be a cool addition. My argument though is that it is not really needed for the server and could play as a waste of resources.
Well, personality, I've have been running out of things to do. This would add a lot more to do. ^^

Hm... Add the sewers to Capetown, give some people entrypoints to them, which increases the value of the redbrick houses since I could let those access them... I could also use the basement of the Mall for an entrypoint to the sewers...
Got to say the whole not being attacked and not taking fall/suffocation damage is nice, would let me simply turn off godmode and have a nice time anyway.
It might use up a lot of calculations though.
One thing you might want to get rid of in this plugin is these:
- Webs that drop on destruction. Devaluates the hard (and only) way to get them right now, which is Excavation 750+ from Clay.
- Requiring webs for the altars of darkness, replacing them with something else such as redstone torches.
Unless an altar of Darkness is made at Vetropolis or another protected accessable place, requiring people to get webs would make this rather hard. We have 10 people who can dig up webs, it's 5% from Clay blocks, so 15% in Giga Drill Breaker, so 5 webs require 33 clayblocks broken. With such limited accessability buying webs would not just be a telltale sign, but also something you can easily be ripped off for. The question is, if webs are to be obtained for this without the plugin option, whether enough players would offer a fair secret deal. However, making that high level completely worthless would be a bit of a kick in the guts, since it's exactly the kind of highlevel reward that rocks. Hence my suggestion to remove the web-obtaining part and use redstone torches for the altars of darkness.

I think a plugin like this could justify the installation of the whole sewer systems to each town as suggested in another forum. It's a cool idea as long as the ability to fly through the whole bloodlust thing was disabled.![]()
i think isly is right here, maybe put a sewer system in any big town such as Capetown or Vetra sized, and that could be sort of a "Ratway" for the vampires during the night.
maybe we could also do afiliations for cities, like Rhodes is a vampire city and Baywalk is a non-vampire city, and cities with affiliations have to have the temple asociating with their affiliantion in it.
also, still no warewolf mod?

How does this work when the main world is non-pvp? People can't be infected unless they can be hit with PVP damage, or unless they willingly take a vampires blood, or click the altar, correct? I agree that it could make for an interesting level of city design to add in secret passageways and such for vampires to travel through.

I was hoping the altar would be in Vamptropolis. If it was in Vetropolis everyone would be a vampire. I think it should be more of a secret not so common thing. Since Vamptropolis is all about vampires. ^_^

Well, vampires can still drink blood from animals. The infecting part wouldn't work right though.
