I know our PvP arena is kind of custom to have a "stage" surrounded by stands for a PvP arena, but what is we kept the arena and inside there was a portal in a separate room that took people to an arena in an isolated location that would factor in the environment and it actually required skill. Right now the PvP arena is just who has the better weapons. If we had it in a biome such as mountains or jungle where the playing field involves skill and moving around. such as for jungle the trees can be climbed which can lead to traps, surprises, archer points, hiding places, and on top of the trees it can be a battle as well as on the ground. The mountain biome can involve who ever got on top of the mountain first would have an advantage of being able to move but could also fall to far. This idea isn't a biome but we could make a tall building and put floating platforms inside connected to the room by towers of iron fences as supports.

i like this idea a lot. but i can see it as more of a event than just being the arena

I don't like the portal idea, but anyone is welcome to build a PVP arena or structure anywhere in the world with their own rules. Just flag PVP true. For a portal, you can purchase a portal ship, that's an idea. Or build it in another city.

As meat said, you should put something like this in a city. But it would be cool to have an arena wher you replicate a biome and keep that theme for a month or so, then change it to a.new biome the next month. Lik start with a jungle rePlica, then change it to a cave next. Maybe a mushroom theme after. Or build one for each bIomega and run your own tourniment that pits people in different ones each match.
Long and short, I love this idea and you definany should build it

A cave arena sounds fun. Stop giving me ideas that I don't have the time to do.

I have started working on it.
The location can not be revealed until it is more complete but here are some screenshots
please ignore the walls i ran out of money and brick so i cant get more for a while
i am going to put a walk way for spectators to see around the edge.
i will add more trees as i get more saplings
