Hello Ladies and Gents!

As some of you know, it is impossible to bring mobs from the nether to the Overworld due to a server setting, but I wish to make that change.

Like seriously, who doesn't want a pet ghast?

Help pass this petition so you can have your own nether mobs in your home!

A petition will not be effective here, sorry.

As a suggestion, frelling and the rest of staff can evaluate the merits and risks of such a move but whether it's a single person suggesting it or a petition of 1000 active players, if it's not in the server's best interest then it won't happen.  If it's something that won't adversely affect the server, it may be possible, but it doesn't take a petition to get it done.

Food for thought:

Ghast fireballs have damage potential similar to tnt, but with the added problem that they completely ignore and bypass residence protection. They will damage/destroy anything they hit that isn't stone, even in a residenced area. Having had a residence in the nether at one point, I can speak from direct experience with this.

I'll be honest and say I can't see this being a good idea for that reason - it would be too easy to use ghasts as a proxy in griefing.

On the note of ghast destruction, with Large Nether Portals being a feature of 1.7, such that ghasts will come through them if they're large enough, I'm sure that Residence will get flags to mitigate that issue.

Ghast fireballs are protected by he "fireball" flag. Thread closed.
