I don't know if this is dumb or not, but I just found out items scatter everywhere if you break the chest they are in. I thought it would be a cool idea (maybe call it Pinata) to have a bunch of chests with various items (some filled with dirt, some tools, some diamonds, etc) scattered across an arena. There's a countdown and everyone finds a chest or groups around a couple and then the RES is lifted and everyone has to break chests and pick up what they can. I think it'd be fun cause a super vet of the server may get stuck with 3 stacks of dirt and some birch wood while a new guy could get a stack of diamond and armor. It's not based on skill, persay, just a crazy pinata game of chance. Lemme know what you think.

Is it pvp or are they going to build with these items or is it just like a wild goose hunt and they just get to keep the items in the chest they found.  If its the latter, I can picture this being an event for Easter, although the length of the event would be kind of short so we would need a complimentary event.  If it includes pvp, it sorta reminds me of the hunger games a bit, which we have offered on the server in the past.  It its to gather items to build, Would be kind of hard to have an even playing field.

This is my signature and I hope you enjoy it. - Dalferes

I like the idea a lot.

I'll allow Infinity Field to be used for such an event. :) We could have a Triathalon: Obstacle course race, pvp battle royale, then pinatas as a finisher.

I told the doctor I broke my leg in two places. He told me to stop going to those places.

cool concept, Id like to add to the idea.  Perhaps the first run could be done on a flat surface, but later on, if the game gets interest; build a larger and multi levelled pvp arena for same type of event.

I like the PVP concept, as most of the games I build for community events are based on it...

speaking of build... now that im home again, I can spend some hours finishing the Tower control Arena!!

It's an interesting idea, but where does all that loot come from? The server mentality of "finding a diamond is a rare and momentous occasion, and these things dumb that down" kinda makes me think you don't want events that would just throw goods around. Buuuut if it were like a buy-in requirement of like a couple diamonds, and those buy-ins were inside the prize chests--that'd be cool.

I see where you are going with this Jaysea... But the prizes inside the chests would come from me, or other staff members.  You will notice that certain staff members like to hoard their goods, and won't even show them off, or share. cough cough isly cough cough...

anyway, having these staff members give up items is also a rare and momentous occasion too! :)

Pffft Cameron, I have the right to hoard my diamonds if I want! I share with no one!

I think a buy in is a good idea. Maybe make it a 120 shilling buy in or the equivalent (2 diamond, 10234345605 redstone dust, etc)
