what we have had so far are massive events that are covered by recordeds and have massive groups of people watching. while that is fine and good, billy has a point in his post, we need events that arnt completely mod run, but are still big. a while back, icyspawn ran an improptu spleef tourney. no mods we required and fun was had. maybe we could just have anyone run a competition thereselves. as long as they can give the money rewards.
however, to prevent everyone and their uncle from running a compitition at the same time, someone should be a manager of events (i have heard that that is ryanpitts job but i do not know for sure). so anyone who wants to mrun an event would need his ok to run it. also he would chose which comps would have livestreaming and a big fuss and which oones would just be a small, player run thing.

This could spark up some discussion too. Yes, I technically manage the events as the PR guy, but I also have had Emulated (only one so far) run an event too. I feel like I can give permission to people wanting to run an event or two - as long as it isn't just another generic event. I'm wanting most of our events to be different than the last (special thanks to Tony's event for making me think this). However, remember that this would mean not everyone would just be running around creating large events.
