So i been reading some on the dynmap markers and what if you put an cost of like 5k to have an admin or mod to put an Dynmap Marker for your Town/city so its easy to view from the live map to see the different towns
Edit: so maybe an better idea was to give the option for thos that own an Boat to their city already to buy an Dynmap Marker for their city in that way it wont be flooded with markers on map

We have plans for markers. But at this time, the marker API has been pretty weak. While it is easy to set up markers on an individual basis, I know that once they are offered, everyone and their brother will want to have one till the map starts looking like a pin cushion 😛
I've written a few test routines to test the "controlability" of markers through some automated or semi-automated means. While successful, its still cludgy at best. This is definitely going to have to wait until our backend management is up and running on the new server.
However, that is not to say that some enlightened individual couldn't perform this manual task. Zen, if you've got some immediate ideas, I'm certain Meat and I would be receptive. The main requirements are that the process is consistent, rules governing their use are clear and readily available (i.e. wiki or article), and that it is measurable and has an audit trail.

For the size requirements, 150k blocks or a floor surface of X would prolly be a better requirement, due to shapes. Not all places are square.
With portal/airship, perhaps a railroad connection to Vetropolis could also be included, aka "Be connected by public transit to Vetropolis, either directly or indirectly (through other places that are connected"? That not only allows for railroad-only places, but also for places that aren't directly connected to still be labelled. There is limited space at Spawn, after all, while Guslandia for example won't get a portal ship there but at Capetown instead.
I agree with a minimum-existance requirement, it means you don't get requests from a fresh creation attempt that stalls and goes nowhere. Such a duration of existence gives a good chance to see whether it's actually a viable city.
Perhaps add a fee as well? Not sure what would be a reasonable fee.
One thing I'd like is for the government to pick things they really like and give those labels as well. It's inconsistent, so doesn't need to be in the requirements (you can't ask to be labelled a Wonder, that could get heated), but I'd like things like Zenzar's awesome construction project to be shown as well as the cities. Dustlandia rocks, not just the thing itself but the village around it too.

I don't think places that are considered "in progress" should be eligible for a marker. Obviously with the style of game we're always renovating and re-building, but I don't think we should clutter the map with locations that aren't worthwhile to visit.
The best example I can think of at the moment is Vetra. I mean, the lower city is complete and could perhaps warrant a marker - but the expansion area is still very crude and not very well built up. I wouldn't want other such places misleading new players into thinking they should travel there when there are other finished builds to explore.
