Private Chatting | Server News | Forum

Due to a previous player (now banned for other reasons) complaining and being all upset that staff could see their private chat, I needed to address this. The player had the audacity to tell us the chat was none of our business.

Let me be perfectly clear:

Any chat made on the server, whether 'private' or public IS OUR BUSINESS. We don't go around looking for private information or drama, but it has been used and will continue to be used to catch griefers and other criminals. Anything done on the server, every action, command, sentence, etc, is not only monitored by staff but logged for future investigations.

My advice is this: If you want to talk about your personal issues and boyfriend/girlfriend issues, or other non-game related drama, feel free to use VC's private chat, but keep in mind it's not private and don't get upset when you find out people know what you're saying. If that upsets you, use Skype!

It is also worth noting that though staff can see these chats, they aren't ALWAYS watching it, and aren't watching it for the drama and gossip ammo. We have better things to do. I don't care about your personal teenage issues. So don't think the staff are just snooping around for fun. They are not.

If you have issues with this policy, good luck finding any gameserver on EARTH that doesn't do the same thing. And read our Ts and Cs.
