Apparently our data center's billing system decided it needed a vacation right in the middle of renewing our monthly services. Long story, short: half of our servers are renewed and the other half are not. I have been advised by billing and technical support that they have given us a 3 day grace period to allow OVH to fix their systems.
With that said, we also know that sometime what is said and what happens are two different things - I won't even go to the "what was heard" portion I will be keeping a close eye on the server for the next couple of hours. If it becomes inaccessible, you will have a pretty good idea why.
