Hello all!

I would like to request a small (river boat class) portal ship for my humble village. I am situated centrally on the serverscape along a winding river that has access to a large swath of Vetronia - many parts of which I've just recently dredged out the depths of to put myself closer in line with the river-to-ocean policy in place concerning portal ships. Below is the design for the boat. It's a light craft that's very much Viking long boat inspired... I guess you could almost call it a short long boat, lol.

Provided everything looks to be kosher with my request, the coordinates for the destination portal are -3805,62,-1262 and the funds are available now to be drawn from if/when approved. The only thing I'm unsure of is where I'd be parked on the capital city side (if approved, of course) - but I guess you'll let me know on that.

In any case, Thank you very much for your consideration. Please let me know if this sounds acceptable or if there are any issues with the request....

Took me a while for me to map out the rivers to see if it can actually make it to the ocean that can lead your boat to Vetropolis, however, after dealing with several labyrinths, There is a water way that connects your area to the ocean.  I approve.  Just waiting on Frell or Meat to actually do the work.  If need be, I can trace the line over the path that the boat takes.  Also, lovely design on the boat :)

This is my signature and I hope you enjoy it. - Dalferes

Thanks, Dal! Your support's very much appreciated! And you're right, those rivers are like a maze... was banging my head for literally days on pathing. I may just make it a pet project to continue dredging riverways around Vetronia to make it a little easier for small class ships to navigate around the map. It might encourage more people in remote areas to request portal ships and make it a little easier to 'port to locations farther away from the capital. We could end up creating the first Vetronian WWW (Water Way Web)... or could more likely just be wishful thinking, lol.

Anywho, as for the ship... I'm nowhere near a builder on the same scale as alot of you on the server here - can't build 'big' to save my life. It's about all I can manage to work out the smaller ones like this, lol, so I very much appreciate the compliment there! Thanks! Laugh

Ok, please don't kill me and I apologize for asking in the middle of the process... but I'd like to alter the design of the ship just a bit before the portal is set up, if that's alright, and then re-submit for approval. Considering the portal hasn't actually been set up yet, would that be alright? It's just not looking as much like a viking longboat as I had pictured it before and I'd like to play with it for just a bit longer. I could have it redone and re-submitted as early as tomorrow afternoon (I really just wanted to extend the hull a bit and move the portal behind the sail instead of under it)... would that be ok?

Other things got in the way and I plump forgot about this, so go ahead and do what you need to do.

Ok, so things are all set again. I've made it look closer to a proper longboat - elongated it just a bit and put the mast in the middle where I should have put it the first time, lol. The boat's docked at the front of the village to give it a better more centralized feel. Also, please note coords for the destination portal have changed. New coords: -3843,62,-1271

Thank you for letting me go back in to make the changes. I promise, NO MORE from this point forward! It's set on my end and ready to go.
