I think most people can figure out my/our user name story...but...
SlocumFamily is David, my husband.
I am SlocumFamily2
When I created the user names, I didn't know public servers even existed. I thought I was simply creating an account name no one else would see. So... I chose stuff that was easy for us to remember.
2TreeRex2
Daniel and Sammy share this account. The name is because they both love Skylanders... and there are two of them. Duh.

I wanted to put together a name that would fit well with me. I was lbraff (which "Raff" is the beginning of my last name) but I wanted something more "official".
NetherSpartan5: The Break down,
Nether: I am one of the few people who enjoy the Hellish realm. I started playing MineCraft during Infdev. I was going to stop playing, but I saw the "Nether" update and decided to stick around. Another reason I like the Nether, is it fits my personality. I like dark, creepy things (No, im not a satanist, i do work at a church). Haunted houses. Bobby Mackeys. Poveglia Island. It gives me a rush to see those things (My release is watching Ghost Adventures). The Nether really makes me feel like I'm in Poveglia, Italy or somewhere scary (Duh, it's Hell). The last reason, is I wanted to add a MineCraft aspect to my name. Spartan5 doesn't sound right.
Spartan: The Big One. Spartan was a nickname that was given to me by my late brother. He gave it to me because, like how the Spartan Army was trained, I never gave up on many things. I always finish my work. That's why I will never leave the server, it's my unfinished project. I won't give up on Sparta. Plus, after Sparta, I plan to build a large military base full of tanks, aircraft, aand other cool things. I felt this would be a better addition to my username.
5: Five. This gives the name its: Boom. Five is: The number in the middle of 1 and 9. I really didn't have a reason for picking this. I almost did the number 9, the number of completion. NetherSpartan9, I was pretty close to doing that.
Some of VeteranCraft's Nicknames for me:
The most frequent: NS5
Unusual: Spartles
My little brother's/Snow's: Spartie

Yes, I am a fan of Farscape, but contrary to popular assumptions that is not where I got my gamer tag from. Matter of fact, I was introduced to Farscape when an old-time friend emailed me ROFLing all over the place to let me know that Father Frelling had become a swear word. I was horrified at first, but came to accept it over time. “Who is Father Frelling” you ask?
Decades ago – it seems so many these days – when I was the stereotypical geek well before it was popular to be one, I was (well, still am) a hardcore D&D player much to the dismay of my poor parents who thought I would turn into a devil worshipper. Obviously, I didn’t turn out that way. These days I just dig for blocks and build neat stuff
Our D&D games weren’t casual pick up games. They were multi-month campaigns consuming countless weekends and weeknights (one lasted 2 years) with extensive back stories. We actually wrote a novella about our longest campaign. In creating the back story for my cleric, I wanted a befitting name that honored an important person in my life; my great-uncle (on my mother’s side) Joost de Frel; yes, I’m part Dutch.
However, my ignorant friends thought that it sounded too funny; so, I anglicized his name to Jonathan Isaac Frellington with the “ton” being dropped later because it sounded too hoity-toity. For the most part of my cleric’s existence, he was simply referred to as Father Frelling. During those days the term “frell me” was synonymous with healing requests; though I guess these days that would sound funny.
That moniker stuck with me throughout my years playing Zork/Adventure, Isle of Kesmai, Club Caribe, Neverwinter Nights, EverQuest, WoW, Rift, and you guessed it Minecraft.

o: You know I wish I had an interesting story where mine came from. I was just doing my hair before work one day and decided to make a new deviantArt account and decided it was far better than my previous "name/number" of before. xD It just kind of stuck after that.
Aww... I am disappointed. I was looking forward to a very interesting story about this one! Is there a reason the combination of Smoothie with Pickled popped into your head?
I created meatbawllz on my PS3 online username years ago. The name was conceived because Bill Murry is a badass, he was in this movie, and the spelling 'Meatballs' was taken. So when I created my MC username, I just used the same username.

I used to play under my sons account ( lilmack96) before i came out as a MC player. So late one night while playing Tony and Datonis kind of came up with a spin on the God Father and called me theMackFather TMF and I made my account right that second. It just stuck with me from there
Ken
This story I love.
For some reason I never put two and two together for you and lilmack.

The name DarkMaxiss actually comes from my main character i created for the online role play site my brother blizzerada and i started. he was called Maxiss, and I am the darkness that drives him. Oh and yes its partially because the level cap on the site is S rank.
It was either going to be DM or Thudd, cause that's the sound my head makes on door frames.

I used to play on a virtual pet site long ago (I know, embarrassing, right?) and my nickname on the site from a good friend of mine was Isly. When I started playing Rock Band on the Xbox 360, I decided to put a random word that I liked (that can describe me pretty well in some cases) in front of Isly. Therefore, terrorisly was born, and I stuck with it for consistency, as I started playing Minecraft with my Rock Band friends originally. And yes, the lack of capital letters is completely intentional and will never change.

Sorry! XD And I tend to enjoy combining words I think sound good together, like some people's first and last names just flow, while others don't. (Does that make sense? )

Well, to start with, Elizabeth Bathory, has been labelled the most prolific female Serial killer in history and is remembered as the "Blood Countess". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E.....C3%A1thory . I am not named after her though.. I am named after Bathory, the Swedish Black Metal band, who happens to be named after her. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B.....ory_(band)
I have loved metal for.. the better part of my life, thanks to my dad. I have loved Bathory, and decided to go with it. The 666 somewhat speaks for itself, although my original username was going to be Korpiklaani (A Finnish folk metal band I love) But it was already taken
For anyone that wants to check out either and love them both...

Ok.. next time someone asks, here is your story:
"Well, one day my friend and I were dying for a milkshake but when we searched my fridge we didn't have anything to make one with. So we thought we'd try for smoothies. So, I got bananas and apples and ice and such, and my roommate grabbed some lemon juice to keep it from turning gross brown. We mixed it all up and tasted it and it had this really odd flavor. I asked my friend how old the lemon juice was, and she pulled it out and we saw it was actually pickle juice. So, we had just made pickled smoothies."
You're welcome.
