I can't help but laugh my head off at this. It's exactly what I was thinking at the opening ceremony of the Olympics. I hope the English folk can laugh along as well. The queen seems to have a decent sense of humor.

Not that I'm a fan of any German doing something that could be mistaken as the wrong signal; however, in his defense, the Nazi salute was done with the right arm. It was considered unacceptable and defiant to execute a salute with the left hand unless a physical injury prevented the use of the right arm. But, all in all, I agree - what the hell was he thinking??????

Doubt he was making a nazi salute. He probably just tried to wave and with old age factoring in, there's not a lot of ways to do that.

the mistake was that it was shot from the wrong camera... see? Here he is again from the other side when the german got a medal.
