Migrating Your MC Account.

Short story: Don't do it if you haven't already. XturnaI decided to download a new texture pack last night and check it out, but he got it from PMC, and after he installed it, he was getting "login failed" error. I thought since it was from PMC, and with all the hacking going on lately there, he had gotten hacked. Deleted his MC and installed everything again, changed his password, etc. Nothing helped. So I decided to start searching around trying to figure out something. I realized his account was migrated, and mine was not, after reading it was the "best route to go" to protect yourself from being hacked. I decided to do it.... Then bam, I couldn't log in. After a bit of searching, I realized the Mojang network was down, keeping us from getting back on MC. Apparently MC and Mojang have two different networks. After reading more on it, everyone says migrating your account is a big bad no no because of how much Mojangs servers are down. Least this morning I am able to log on.

Not sure if this helps - maybe you already knew this. I migrated a while ago and thought the same thing, but it turns out the username you use to login after you migrate is actually your email address you registered with mojang.

So before the migration my login was "username" and after the migration it was "myemail@address.com".

Again, not sure if that helps or not - probably stating the obvious, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Yeah, I knew I had to log in with my e-mail after I migrated. It was just that the server was down when I tried that, but logging in with my username worked, so from there we gathered that MC and Mojang are on two different servers.
