I just wanted to see how many of you are affected by this and wish you our best wishes. I have a friend in Maryland who's house is flooded and so I was thinking of you guys: Dalferes, frelling, etc. If you have internet access I suppose it could be worse.. Anyways, hope you guys are staying dry.

Frankly, the one time I was completely prepared for a storm, nothing happened. Connectivity has mostly been up. We're just hoping that Sandy does make a sharp right-hand turn too soonLaugh

I'm all the way in Southern Ontario, Canada, so we only lost power for a few hours during the night. Lots of wind damage, but I believe there's only been one death in the area attributed to the storms. It's nothing like the flooded streets and blackout blocks NY and company have been dealing with.

Lost power for 8 hours yesterday, there was a street with pretty much every tree uprooted.  Coastal roads were rivers.

Fantastic book which can be interpreted on so many levels.  Holden Caulfield is my hero.  Was a pretty brutal storm here though and I'm glad to hear my fellow statesman lived through it :D

Nice picture meat hahaha. Good luck to everyone that is still being effected though. I'm over here in Washington (the state, not D.C.) so I'm fine. Kiss

I have awesome shoulders.

Just got the powa back.  Took me a few hours to get to work Tuesday due to downed trees and finding new ways around them.  Plus, my iphone and gps wouldn't work for some reason, networks were down.  Got myself a nice tour of random neighborhoods though.

My side of town barely felt the wrath of the storm, just a few downed trees and my tomato garden blown away.  The city of Brigantine, just about 10-15 min. drive, was pretty much destroyed.  A friend of mine who lived there had their house partially destroyed and now has a boat in their living room.

I'm south of Boston. Had my generator on standby, 2 or 3 pumps set up in case of flooding in the garage, enough water and non-perishable food to last at least a week or two if need be... ...and just like with Irene last year, we didn't get much of anything (the brunt of the storm went west). Not even a power outage --- not that I'm complaining at all. I'll take nothing over the alternative of what NY and NJ are experiencing right now. If anyone from VC lives around those areas, stay safe, and our thoughts are with you.

(My sister lives in western PA, they got a foot of snow over there... very odd storm indeed)

There is suppose to be another nor'easter coming up sometime this week.  I feel bad for the people still living without power or without a house.
