So about a week ago I decide to reformat my computer. Yey. All seems well because its fast and whatnot. Cool.
Until I log on to minecraft.
I got an error about open GL or whatever, so now I'm stuck with fixing my video driver, The problem is, it says that I don't have a video card of any sorts. Did the whole step by step process to find the name, and it just shows up (unavailable)
So if anyone has a remedy for this, I would sure appreciate it.

Im on a Windows XP sp3. I think I just need to download a new driver but every one I have tried isnt working.
-----------------------
Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

Odeken, do this to find out exactly what video card and which driver you have:
1. Click the Start button, and choose Run.
2. In the "Open:" box, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
3. Open the Display adapters section.
Your video card is listed here, and you can right click on it for a few different options. If you choose Properties, the General tab will have a field at the bottom which says whether or not the device is working properly. There should also be a Driver tab that tells you which one you have installed right now, and give you the date it came out.
If the date is awhile ago, check the manufacturer's website for an update, and make sure to pick the right one for your operating system.
If you want to do some testing on OpenGL, you might install a little utility to help. If you look here:
http://www.opengl.org/wiki/Get.....ng_Started you'll see this viewer linked: http://www.ozone3d.net/gpu_caps_viewer/
I've never used it, but it might be worth installing to see what it can tell you.

Was fightin my way through the confusion and all that (I'm not a PC guy as you can tell) but pretty much all I got was that my driver is VGASave or something like that. I really have no idea what to do, I've looked all over for drivers for it, but I guess its a backup graphics thing, But I dont know. Any other ideas?
