Google Hangouts

Hello people on Veterancraft!

I have been enjoying my time on the server alot and I wont be stopping anytime soon, but some things that keeps

reoccuring, like; sometimes I need someone for a trade/opinion/service and they are nowhere to be found all day,

maybe I just want to share something quickly like a video or a photo, or I just want to talk about something random which is not what the public chat is for. Sure you can use a party for that, but you're never in a party with everyone at the same time and switching parties is just a pain in the bum, so this could be a nice addon to get everyone connected!

For these kind of things I'd think it would be a nice idea to setup a Hangout for everyone who is on on Veterancraft and is interested.

I'll setup/maintain the hangout and add anyone who is interested, just reply on this topic with your Google Hangouts Email adress and I'll make sure you will join the chat!

Getting Up and Running!

To use hangouts you will either need to install the Browser Extension or the app on your phone, you will have to download it from the right location, so a few links to the download pages are at the bottom of the post.

If you can't get it working, or if you have any other suggestions or problems feel free to reply to this topic or send a PM.

Once you have managed to install Hangouts you will need to post your email down below or via a PM to me (if you want to keep it a bit more private). I will make you will be added to the chat.

Things you might need to know

1. This Hangout (chat) is not officially an official chat setup by the staff of Veterancraft.
2. Therefor it is not moderated by any staff of Veterancraft (ofcourse they can be in the chat)
3. Since it is not moderated I cannot guarantee everything that is said in the chat (certain words for example) meets the Veterancraft PG-13 standard.
4. Joining the chat is at your own risk (as stated in #4: there is no PG-13 standard), there are no clear rules so anything can be said. (I would ask people to behave in a way that is expected from mature people who play on a mature server).
5. I dont want this list to contain just negative things, so something you might need to know is that it can be alot of fun & helpfull to have everyone in one chat that many people carry along with them all day (via smartphones).

*Note to the staff of Veterancraft: I assumed I did not require permission to setup a Hangout (chat) since it will not affect the server in any way (in a form of adds or the possibility of making Veterancraft look bad to the public) and it basically is just a chatroom which anyone can make. If the staff of Veterancraft is not happy with the idea of an unmoderated Hangout I will (obviously) shut down anything related to this idea and respect the decision of the Veterancraft staff.
