Those of you who have been around since last year, you'll remember we had fires in my city last year. Well, after a year, here we go again. This isn't a regular thing. I mean, I think the last time our city has been this close to fire was a few decades, then last year, now this year. 2 years in a row.
Many people I know have been evacuated including my in laws and wife's grandparents and friends. We may be hosting evacuees at my house for who knows how long because last year evacuees were out for weeks. So I have no idea how available I'll be in the immediate term. If you need something urgently please contact frelling or emulated.

I was just reading about this in the news this morning and you guys were the first people I thought about! Wow - I hope you, your family, relatives, and their homes are okay! Hopefully the winds/weather will cooperate and this one can get under control soon.
Take care!
Yeah the fire is spreading up towards my in-laws. I've been helping them move important documents and stuff to our house. The smoke looks like a nuclear bomb mushroom cloud from here.
As of this morning, 360 homes are destroyed and it's now the worst fire in Colorado history (beating last year)

Man, I'm sorry Meat. Take care of the family man.
We deal with hurricanes, which I'll gladly take over fires. Hurricanes are predictable and you can leave for a while then come back. Fires... fires just destroy.
If there's something we can do, let us know.

Hope all is safe man, saw in the denver post that a couple bodies were found today. Luckily none of my friends or family there have been forced to evacuate yet. We had smoke from the royal gorge fire blow up here plus smoke from a small fire above Poncha pass. It actually rained an dusty, ashy slurry on all the cars, couldn't see out any of the windows of my car when I left work, but got the owner of the store to spray off my windshield. Hopefully the lightning hasn't started any new fires. If I can't log on for a few days or more its because the fiber optic line here routes down to where meat lives and if the area it goes to there gets burned... Stay safe, we are thinking about all the people down there.
