Those of you who give a gosh-darn might have noticed I haven't been on much lately.

I still love MC and VC....I am just having a "builders block" (aka writers block), lull, and am prioritizing differently right now.

When I first joined VC I was in the middle of recovering from pneumonia, so I was able to play a lot guilt-free. Also chronic anemia and Lyme disease had me at the computer more.

Since I got treated for the latter two, I am feeling more energetic...and I actually want to be (gasp) productive at home and with the family. Sadly, this means much, much less guilt-free time on MC/VC. (Though if I was suddenly inspired, I could probably talk that guilt down.)

So, I will be on only periodically right now as I search for my Minecraft muse and do things like clean (horrors), quilt, and other such boring stuff (that is actually productive).

I am gonna downgrade my account for a while...but I don't intend to de-active, and I fully intend and expect to be back when I have more time and/or find some building inspiration.

I do have some land that I have not yet used.

If anyone runs into my barrier and really would like in the area, please PM me about the area. I will probably be willing to sell it to you (or whatever is best to do to give up land so someone else can have it.)

I've never been much of a builder myself, and i've always tended to stop playing on servers eventually because of that - people don't have an infinite amount of creativity, and there's always the posibility you'll run out of ideas at some point. Where as i've stopped playing on servers before from hitting that wall, it hasn't mattered so much here because of one big difference -- mcmmo.

One of the biggest draws for me to this server in the first place was that it didn't matter what i did, whether building or hunting mobs or gathering/hoarding resources.. the mcmmo system rewards you for doing whatever, whenever - you can always advance/progress in some way, whether building or not. Hell, most nights i find myself simply hunting, or running around exploring new areas, jumping in any holes i find, just to see what's down there.

tl;dr- If you've run out of building ideas, don't even sweat it at all. Take a break from building: Unwind with some more mindless activity to clear your head a bit. Check the leaderboards and turn more attention toward putting yourself on them, everywhere you can and as high up as you can go... the beauty of mcmmo is that you can always advance something repetitive until you figure out something better to do later.
