I'm gonna make this short. Lots of things going on IRL but the biggest thing on my heart right now is some friends of ours found out yesterday their 3 month old child has stage 3 liver cancer. We're trying to wade through the injustice and heartbreak our friends are going through right now. It's always a passing sad story until it's someone you know. Then it's just freaking unbearable.

I don't know quite why I'm posting this other than to ask you to say a quick prayer if you believe in God. If not, send your positive thoughts. I can't imagine what his parents are going through.

It's sucks when you hear about someone having cancer. It sucks even more when you hear that it's someone as small as a baby. It's not the type of news that any parent would want to hear. My thoughts and prayers go out to that child and his family and friends.

He is in my prayers. Please forward my sincerest wishes.

Hello Meatbawls.... I wish this was a more felicitous occasion but unfortunately it isn't. My most fervent hope for your friends and their child that things somehow work out.

Really sorry to hear this meat, sending my positive thoughts their way.

My mom is just getting through a battle with cancer that has been going on since September. (at least it seems like shes through it at this point)

It is a long road, but people do make it through.

I figured I'd update this thread to let you guys know the good news that his tumor has shrank from the size of a baseball to the size of a pea since chemo started a month ago. Doctors told them it would be 6 months before such progress was possible. He went from a near certain 3 months to live scenario to a 75% chance of fully recovering and being cured completely. Amazing.

Wonderful. Someone up there was listening to our hopes and prayers.

Anyone who was following this, I thought I'd post. He had surgery yesterday to remove what was left of the tumor and the right lobe of his liver, and the doctors were successful. At this time, his body is cancer free. Now he has to recover, but things look good.
