I thought Emulated & a few other of you tech savvy people or web people might get a kick out of these.

World's Worst Website Example 1: http://www.angelfire.com/super/badwebs/

World's Worst Website Example 2: Yvette's Wedding Dresses: https://courses.washington.edu/info424a/aut11/BadExamples/Yvette%27s%20Wedding%20Dresses%20Panama%20City%20Florida%20Yvette%27s%20Yvette%27s.htm

Another thing, please have some decency and delete Comic Sans and Papyrus font from your computers!

I have seen a few menus using comic sans, and it makes my brain melt with rage.

I've actually used comic sans as a joke for people's designs when they get to that "oh, i haven't got too much money to spend on this" stage. hahaha

If you think menus are bad how about these inappropriate uses:

Too much money? Sometimes it's laziness. Avatar cost $300,000,000 to film yet used papyrus font in their logo and subtitles. Damn you Cameron!!!

yeah, it's kinda funny to see who uses horrible font type on things.  Using Arno Pro font on this video project right now.  - - Thought about using comic sans after reading your first post.

I can live with papyrus, and I'll even forgive comic sans, but for the love of [insert religious symbol] please ensure you've even kerning. You might as well throw in a lense flair and some cat gifs so you can be totally web 2.0.

You know what absolutely sucks is trying to tell someone that thinks they know about web design that they suck at it badly.

Did that once. Did not go over well... I redid their website off the work schedule and brought it in - without the use of frames - and they said frames were the new standard of web design.  Sorry but I don't see it.

Then I was given the opportunity to make a site for a client (keep in mind that even though you follow certain protocols when it comes to designing the website, you have to keep the customer satisfied as well).

I came up with this: http://swelectricinc.com/

Keep in mind that I haven't worked there in 3 years and thus some of the code has been altered.

This is my signature and I hope you enjoy it. - Dalferes

Haven't touched HTML in ages, last time I checked advantages of frames was less loading and disadvantages was that back wouldn't work right. What is the right thing to use again?_?

Also, what font oughta I use? I never really used a special font on my site, since I didn't know what looks best.

My personal favorites are Verdana and Tahoma.  Regardless, imo, a website looks best with a sans-serif font, or fonts that don't have end strokes. (Times New Roman is an example of a serif font)

You can't go wrong with Helvetica. You know a font is good when it was designed 50 years ago and still sells for over $800 for the font set. There are tons of awesome fonts, but as far as standard system fonts (that would actually show up in a browser) i agree with Dalferes. Sans serif is easier to read on a lit screen but when i say sans serif, not comic sans serif :(

Frames are terrible for SEO, which is more my area.
