Arda Rising: An SMP Epic

Alright folks! Welcome to the company of the NetherSpartan! And today... I'll be posting my Arda Rising Thread (nailed my intro)! My third and final official VeteranCraft thread.

Information: So I've been getting quite a few comments on my videos in chat. So I thought, why not, I'll make a thread for my show. So, here ye folks are: As of recently, my work schedule was greatly decreased after hiring some helping hands. So, after a bit of thinking, I decided to once again start recording. I've pushed through a couple of episodes, and I plan to equip my channel with two seasons (50 to 75 episodes) of "Arda Rising" episodes. Your VeteranCraft entertainment will be fulfilled :) , along with any Event Videos TSWG will be doing. Arda Rising is my official series for VeteranCraft, however, I have two other "spin-offs" that I'll pick any willing person and they can "come in on the call". I'll get into these later, but, more on the main series. I will post every five episodes on this thread (to prevent spam, and limit advertisement) and I will briefly detail what went on during the episodes. So, without further ado:

Arda Rising - Part 1-3 - The Big Three (VeteranCraft)

Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVC37L6k7Usgc1CZ9pujJuV6_iplva0T0

Objectives:

  • Promote VeteranCraft and Arda
  • Encourage a long stay on VeteranCraft
  • Entertain Veterans and others
  • Promote Community Events
  • Encourage channels to record/play on VeteranCraft

Upcoming Adventures:

  • Adventures to other towns (Hurls' Company and Arda Rising)
  • Community Events (To Valhalla!)
  • Building (*Unknown Building Spin-Off* and Arda Rising)
  • Combat (To Valhalla!, Arda Rising and Hurls' Company)
  • Mining (Arda Rising)
  • Showcasing towns (The VeteranCraft Series)
Schedule:
I have no current schedule for Arda Rising, all I know is they'll be recorded during my free-time. I will record these when I get the chance (pretty often).

Spin-Offs
  • Hurls' Company: Other channels have massive subscriber shows, so I thought I might hold one. You guys have been awesome people to hang out with on Minecraft. So I might give back! Starting in September, I'll be recording with at least ten people, from my channel, and others from VeteranCraft. There are no requirements like, Subscribe or like, just make sure you post in the comments or on this thread when I open it to a "Sign-Up". During this series, I will command my company, and we'll venture to the unknown lands and settlements of Arda, and check them out!
  • To Valhalla!: TSWG has, in the past, created amazing Event videos, and this inspired me to create a Event Video series. So, I'll take anyone participating in the event, willing, and they can join in on the Skype Call. I will then record the event, and so on. If TSWG is recording, I'll give him space and not record that day.
  • *Unknown Building Series*: If anyone has watched my "Settlers of Angaria" show yet, which I would recommend if you're looking for tips and tricks, then you'll know what this series will be like. When Outer Reaches updates for 1.8, I will claim a massive area, where I will be constructing houses, and recording tutorials. This is scheduled for late January, and is on the chopping block due to Aether II's Aetheric Mutation Update. Which is a big thing I set my Youtube Career on.
  • The VeteranCraft Series: If you remember these videos from when I first started recording, I salute you, this was a LONG time ago. Well, I'll be doing the same thing, showcasing the amazing towns of Arda. However, everything is still in a "Minecraft Classic" mode, so I won't bother with this... yet.
Future Special Guests:
  • YOU! Sign up and have fun! :)
  • I have been looking into bringing in other minor/major SMP "Tubers". I have reached out, and I received some positive stuff. We might see some big names pop through down the road.
  • VeteranCraft "Tubers".
Final Words:
For those that are wondering "...if VeteranCraft becomes too big, won't we lose the value of a small, tight knit community?...". Maybe, but I highly doubt we would become a mid-sized server. At a max, we may see sixty people on if it becomes a big thing. If it happens, it happens. Hopefully, people don't get carried away and get into trouble (I'll post warnings to anyone who wants trouble). Lastly, enjoy! For VeteranCraft!!!!

As always! See y'all soon!

I think you're onto something here.  I'm happy to contribute to your videos if you'd like the help.  I was thinking about starting something like this last month when I returned, but haven't had the energy to truely sit down and plan it out like you have already.

TBH, I haven't sat down and really dug my heels into VC, which is something I'm really meaning to do.  I've got 4 days off this week, and have cleared 1TB off my video drive to ramp out some more content.  If you want / need any help with something, just holler.

Cheers.

There are 3 steps one must take to profit in today's economy: 1.) Learn from lessons taught by others 2.) Don't give away everything you know.

Thanks, TSWG!

As some of you have noticed, I've been away from the computer for a while. Mainly because school is starting up around here, and my store gets pretty "cash crazy" during these times. On top of the recent spending purges, a couple weeks ago, two thugs busted into my store and stole A LOT of stuff. I've installed a better security system (me with a gun full of riot rounds) and I'm awaiting the even BETTER system. So... I've sorta put my "entertainment" schedule more towards the weekends. But, without further ado, here is the first signup for Hurls' Company.

Hurls' Company Ep. 1 - M-COM Strike (VeteranCraft)

Information: I've been testing the water with dual-commentaries, and I recorded one with a while ago. However, it was on my old computer and it broke days later. More onto the video, there will be ten people who are highly encouraged to record, and highly encouraged to join my adventure. The people who don't make the first ten will be in the next "Hurls' Company" episode later down the road. Lastly, I don't know when I will be recording this (most likely on a Sunday morning, when I'm free) and the recording sessions last for thirty minutes. Plenty of time for two fifteen-minute videos for those recording. Now, onto the signup requirements:

Please post the following information if you'd like to join:

IGN: NetherSpartan5

Skype: thenetherspartan (My Minecraft/Gaming Skype, don't ask for my personal for I will slap you upside the head with a ice-solid fish)

Are you recording?: Yes.

That's all for now, I'll PM the first ten with the time and date. Also, I plan to bring in a special guest that is rising in the SMP popularity right now, his fans are fine tuned to servers like VeteranCraft. He will join "The Crew" sometime soon (after Episode 10 of Arda Rising).

It feels like it has been a year since I last saw VeteranCraft in its internal glory! But come Christmas, I shall rise from the grave! I've been a good spartan this year and hopefully I can get that Alienware laptop that gives me chills. No more breaks for this guy!

So without further ado (and since I'm on my phone with no special texts), I unveil the best Christmas Minecraft Special: A Very Merry Spartmas! Which is a three-part, gaming frenzy that will be sure to satisfy your NS5ed needs. In the morning I will record the fourth Arda Rising video w/ some special guests (I hope), sometime after that I will record my Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Noobplayer episode (I'm pretty awful at FPS games), and I wrap things up with
the first episode of the last great Minecraft Lets Play.

To uphold my unseen Christmas Special to its fullest potential, it would mean the world to spread the word to your Minecraft and Gaming friends to stop by and watch the best Minecraft Special on Christmas Day. Spread the word!

Merry Christmas Y'all!

Hey if you're planing to play Advanced Warfare on Xbox One, then I'd be happy to show you a few tips and tricks, or just play a few games with you, to help you get started.  My gamertag is the same as my VC-username, si1entSASQUATCH, where the "1" is a number "one." Hope to seen your new videos soon!

Respectfully,

si1entSASQUATCH

Aye. Thanks for the help, I'm more of a Halo/Medal of Honor kind of guy. My gamertag is also the same as my Minecraft name. I just don't have an Xbox One... yet ;) .

A little more info on Arda Rising:
I've obtained an amazing thumbnail for Arda Rising! Currently I have no way to post it from my phone. So check it out for yourself. I also have a current stance on the Spin-Offs of Arda Rising. The unknown building series and To Valhalla! will be discontinued due to the lack of Events. This will free up a good chunk of my schedule and make way for other shows.

A word on Vivol: This was probably my biggest let down on the server to date. More embarrassing than any spats I've had. I had everything organized, ready.
Maps with every little detail, down to the block. I knew I bit off more than I could chew. The time I would invest in Vivol would be horrific. Then my knee my popped out of its socket and my workload increased tremendously before the Holidays. I decided it was best to no longer work on major projects on the server and stick with mid-sized towns. Hopefully, things can work out this time. However, I plan to take with me any values I left behind in Vivol. Anything I leave (buildings, blocks, and items) are open season.

Four more days! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
John
