Hi,
I'm looking for a fairly big island to claim, and can't seem to find one on the map.
If you know of any islands where there may be banned players houses or towns, please let me know.

might be best to go to an open area of land that is rather flat and make a wall surrounding instead of an island

With the Residence Layer on Dynmap currently offline, it's very difficult what is open and what is not. Usually we can check a Res and see who owns it, and it's fairly obvious that way. It also makes it easier to find buried storerooms and such.
Until it comes back, you might find that locating ANYWHERE is very difficult and you'll run across a buried Res. We've come across that situation several times already.
If you're willing to thoroughly check a possible area though, I may have a few locations for you:
