I need 5 gold blocks to complete my giant sword that's on top of my house. I hope i don't have to pay more than 1000 (200 per block) for it, but i will if necessary.

I'd probably suggest mining it yourself as gold blocks are purchased elsewhere for much more.

I believe you can buy Gold blocks directly from the bank for 200s ea.

Spudman's grocery has 100+ gold ingots in stock for under 20s ea, so you can turn them into Blocks for a bit of a savings.

If you don't want to bother combining them, I think the Vetra shop by the spawn sells them sometimes for 195s ea.
