I was browsing around YouTube, and I found a design for a restart proof light sensor.

Unfortunately it requires a villager - of which Vetronia is devoid of. I know this means this design is unacceptable for residence of Vetronia, however I figured I would share for those who live in the Outer Reaches.

In addition, as Meat has access to Villager eggs perhaps this is something we could consider for Vetropolis? It isn't "legit", but only due to the version our main world was generated on. Personally I would view it on the same level as bringing lilly pads from the Outer Reaches... acceptable and useful.

While this won't help the immediate situation, I do know that part of Frell's book covers the design of components ala CraftBook/FalseBook - a collection of more complex redstone circuits instantiated in a single block - has a day/night sensor. In other words, a single block that outputs a signal when its day and not when its night. While less challenging, this would avoid the complexities to having to craft unique circuits taking advantage of game bugs/idiosyncrasies that may change from time to time. Obviously, this won't be something available immediately (though we have been testing simpler components with good success), given that this is still alpha work.

Oh, nice. I'm going to have to get familiar with CraftBook/FalseBook then.

I know that FalseBook tried to follow the CraftBook convention, and from what I've seen Frell's version does that to some degree. It wouldn't hurt to become familiar with either, but I can't guarantee that their functional will migrate in Frell's plugin.

Oh, Frell is making a custom plug in? That's really cool. Well, I'll take a peek at the other two during the interim.

just fyi - you can create villagers in Vetropolis by curing a "villager" zombie (the one with the rare look)

i've already done so and would like to help you get villagers there if you want.

I'd also love to have a 3rd level in the merchant hall, where players could buy and sell to villagers. (which would possibly make the merchant hall get more traffic)

If you like that idea, i think i could come up with plans how integrate that into the building...
