Hey guys,

I had this idea for a floating city. It would consist of a mansion for the owner to live in, a village where people could stay, a marketplace, and an observatory. I made a YouTube video to better explain what I am aiming for.

Note: The obsidian castle is optional, and the music in the video was composed by me.

Please let me know what you think.

I don't personally like it. It doesn't make sense to have a city floating on a one thick layer of dirt/stone. I could see if they were dynamic floating islands sculpted to match the land below, but this looks like someone was just too lazy to clear or build with the landscape.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and decline this proposition as it would be a clear violation of our build rules, not to mention several similar ideas have been declined in the past.

Tony, I don't think you are being fair here. We have had much worse designs that have been told just to change it, and the topside design looks, hands down, better than many of the other ones. I think he should be allowed to build It, as long as he does change the bottom.

We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love Dr. Seuss

He, along with anyone else for that matter, are allowed to resubmit their request once they've made appropriate changes in their design and are able to provide proof. You are correct in that I should have clarified on this in my original post - I apologize for that.

Please keep in mind what is being requested is permission to build *against* the rules. Even if someone is talented and driven, it doesn't mean they're going to automatically be exempt from the rules that every other player has to abide by. That being said, these rules are in place to protect our land, sea, and sky scapes; not to stifle creativity. If the OP can come up with a suitable floating city design and has shown they're not going to flake on completion we're always on the lookout for our next breakout builder.
