On Saturday, April 6th, 2013, VeteranCraft will be hosting a Rube Goldberg Redstone Build-Off event. We are looking for a maximum of six teams to compete to construct whimsical and over complicated redstone creations in honor of the late cartoonist, sculptor, author, engineer, and inventor, Rube Goldberg

There are not many formal rules to this competition. At least one team member must be on-line one half-hour before the start of the contest. Teams with no one online by 5:30PM Eastern, even if they make it on-line before 6:00PM Eastern, will be unable to compete. Your creation must be original, NOT something you found on-line and re-created. You may not build outside of your zone, and you may not interfere with your fellow contestants’ build zones.

I would like that very much. I should be free by 7:30 PM EDT. I can prepare a 2-person creative server with a 75x75 test area for us to work; if that works for you, please let me know as soon as you can and I'll pm/msg you the connection details. If you have Skype, that would help.
I don't have a lot of redstone dust in VeteranCraft so I hope you have plenty. I have a decent amount of quartz to make comparators as well as a few stacks of rail.

The contest results are as follows:

The designs were judged on how well they exemplified Rube Goldberg contraptions, their inherent complexity, and overall functionality. Thank you to all participants. All were great designs.
