Hey guys, just making a post about the build I talked about the other day on the server. Basically it will be a giant Nether Quarts base, filled partially with Obsidian inside, and purple stained glass finishing the hole. The whole build will be full of water, and the bottom is open for serious change, it was just something I threw together. Inside the water Basin at the top, will be a Giant glass globe holding either a Biome(with a house to be designed) or wool Planet.

I am extremely open to changes in the base, I understand floaty objects like the 4 legs are not allowed. I was thinking about more of a circular base angled towards the water basin top, design is up for grabs on it. But I am adamant on the Design type or a water filled base holding up a globe like buoyancy.  Design help to make it look great would be very much appreciated by our veteran builders.

Taking all help, material donations as we build it/find out what we will need with design changes(base), man power for the build. We can scale the size up if you want to make this more of a server Project, instead of a group project.

Please leave your thoughts and opinions, just looking for some fun build to work on and I think this would be really cool.(though I am sure there are plenty of builds planned all ready. :P )

Epic plan, but I was wondering if there might be a way to fit this idea in with a medieval theme of sorts. Maybe make wizard-ish or something...I know not much of a help, but at the moment, it seems in concept to be a little like an 'alien' thing. More pictures perhaps, if possible? Hard to see the full idea.

Count us in (I'm speaking for myself and Okamat, she may correct me later :) ). We're good for any materials we can help contribute as well.

For a design idea, since it's a globe and the base design is still up in the air, what about a traditional "arm" to help hold the globe in place from the base to the top center of the globe? Something like this.

I'm not sure if that would fit with your overall design, but food for thought anyway.

I like the idea, but it was hopefully supposed to be more like this: http://imgur.com/IO4FSpX

I mean, I am more than willing the change the project a lot, including what holds the basin of water, but the top half is pretty locked in my head. Keep throwing Ideas out though, if we like something/get a lot of support for something that appears, we can use that instead, even if it removes everything but the Globe like that. Even somethin' crazy like this if it gets support more than other ideas. http://www.billfrymire.com/gal.....-globe.jpg

On a side note, it would also be cool if the base was changed enough to make the rim near the water/globe reachable too.
