For some reason this makes me giddy.
I dunno...maybe I have no life.
But here is my big event:
I was talking with folks in chat about wanting to use someone's skeleton spawner. Meatbawllz suggested if I ever found one, should "res it off, cause they are a rare commodity."
Anyway...
Previously, any time I went to mine under my area I was attacked so much that I died and/or gave up because it was too frustrating. Well, with New and Improved SPA & Godmode (trademark pending), that wasn't gonna happen.
So... I am happily mining away...ignoring the Spiders that no-doubt normally head for my already-set-up double-spider trap. And I am finding tons of iron, coal, gold, untouched minecart-chests, etc etc.
And then it happened.
An untouched dungeon.
With.... (dun dun DUUUUUN....) a skeleton spawner.
Huzzah!
So I res it off and look around the area. And I find.... two more spider spawners practically next to it.
I use my Superpowers to compass upwards and find (....wait for it...) that I am still basically underneath my own city.
I clap with glee, double check my Godmode status, and begin to build a path from my city to the skeleton/spider spawner area.
And I find.... another spider spawner.
I giggle (but only a little, cause spider spawners are sooo passe) and keep working on my path.
And I find... a zombie spawner.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I have...in one, concise Hallway of Terror (TM)... 3 spider spawners, a skeleton spawner, and a zombie spawner.
And... I ignored at least 2-3 other spider spawners I could have incorporated if I had the energy.
(Hmmm... maybe this was why I always attacked too much to look around in the area? Ya think?)
This is in addition to the double spider spawner I already have.
[cue: Evil SuperVillian cackle]
Applause, accolades, and other "oohs and ahhhs" of delight, envy, and appreciation are now being accepted.

I know. If I didn't know me, I'd assume I was hacking somehow too.
But here is a sad note: I was fixing up my skelly spawner with hoppers, etc. And I accidentally touched it. With my SPA. Just one brief second...and... and... (I can't say it)...
But... I found ANOTHER Zombie spawner, right on my path... this is wacky. I keep seeing the occasional skeleton as I look around...so I am hoping there is another spawner I haven't found. But I am afraid they are just spontaneous. Cause I try to search where they came from and never find anything.
Again..no wonder this area wasn't explored. Even with Godmode on, the constant attacks would have been overwhelming.

Ok... I am slightly redeemed.
Found another skelly spawner. A bit of a walk from my Main Terror Hallway...but still under my city.
And another zombie spawner (I have to count...I think I am up to 3 or 4)
And I don't even know how many spider spawners. Maybe 9.
So weird that all of this is under my city -- which isn't that big.
And... when you all see my hallway, you will realize how close in proximity they all are to each other.
I am thinking a couple mines spawned on top of each other.
And, as I said before, too many bad guys for people to explore much (I hadn't before). And, an area that was mostly uninhabited except for Palmanova before I got there.
But...I am betting if other people go searching, they could created a similar setup if they have a large mine.
All in all... it is weird.

Seriously, you should consider building them all out and make a huge, public-accessible xp grinder center at this point. You could call it Mobs R Us.
Sorry i had to log off last night before i could help with them but i should be able to help the next time i'm on. If you wanna build them out, i'm game in helping you get them in the shape you want.

It's all public access.
The access place is a new building called the Hall of Terror -- which is designed to look like the Hall of Justice.
I am trying to be creative with the spawners...sometimes having the spawner in an "arena" set up, where people need to protect themselves and fight the mob and gather their stuff. And sometimes having the spawner in a standard trap -- with then access to hoppers so the player can grab their loot.
And I am trying to do different variations of traps...so it is less monotonous.
