Here is a concept I have been thinking about recently.
It will likely be placed WAY out there, and will include many many services. Such as, if wars between towns ever start happening (clearly the armys would fight in the Nether) then Kyndrill would be a place of peace.
It would include; (but is not limited to)
- Inn
- Tavern
- Blacksmiths
- Healers
- Weapon-smiths
- Armorers
- Shipyards
- Docks
- "Life Workers"
- Jewelers
- Fishermen
- Nether portal Vault
- Carpenters
- Masons
I just need to get approved, then I will start once and work on it when I am not working on Steve's place.

I am sorry, but we're going to have to decline permission for this. Your example is a circle in water. It fails to show us how you would accommodate the height restrictions in Minecraft's oceans, and lacks the aesthetics you would use to ensure a build that is beneficial to the server.

I'm going to sneak a little post in here.. I do like the general idea, and where you COULD bring this. If you want to try it again, I'd like to see what you can do with a bit more creativity and aesthetics to see if you can get it approved. Don't be too unoriginal so that it, like Tony said, is just a circle in water. But if you want to ditch the idea, that is also fine. I can just see it looking pretty cool.

I can also add a few shillings worth of architectural help.
I think the original concept is VERY appealing, but the problem came with the execution. From the looks of it, those ocean pods are basically self-contained biospheres, however the circle done in Creative doesn't do it justice. If you're looking to keep pursuing this, maybe getting the staff's "no" to a "yes," here are some things to keep in mind....
- Look at all the trees on the platform in the concept. You'd need a far larger platform to accommodate that many trees. Include some small hills and other natural features as well.
- There are floors of living areas above the surface underneath the greenspace. A circle two blocks above the the water is easy, and doesn't really do anything. Making that into a viable living space is much better.
- You will need to show a good plan for what would happen BELOW the surface as well. What sort of architecture? Will you touch the bottom? Will you make those tendrils that are in the concept?
- Think about the number of facilities you've listed, and then try placing them under water. If you factor in the necessary structures to support them like hallways, stairwells and the like, there's not really a whole lot of room for all those things you want to do.
My opinion, again, if you still want to do this, is to try again. But go bigger. As far as I can tell, your current circle is 47 blocks in diameter. Double that, at least. Then raise it out of the water, like in the concept. Get several floors above the water level, so the grass is 12-16 blocks above sea level. Make the level at sea level with some docking ports.
I think this could really be cool, and like Ryan said, you COULD do this. But the staff needs to be convinced that it will look good, so it doesn't mar our wondiferous oceans. Good luck!
