Welcome Fellow Spartans! This is the Official Thread of Sparta. I have been completely pushing to improve my town. This thread is opportunity for me to tell what is going in the town, but also for you to say what you think should be done with the town.

Feel free to post, hope to see you in-game.

The newest building in Sparta. When the old Visitor Center became an obsolete building design, we had it replaced with the

Nether Memorial. Taking time, ikertxikuri and I came up with some designs, the last one standing was the small Egyptian

roof design. Constructed by ikertxikuri(structure), sioustorm(redstone), and me, it is the most elaborate use of redstone in

our town.

Built by NetherSpartan5 after the freebuild became obsolete, the Portal building was

designed to contain the Nether Portal after a couple of Pigman incidents.

It uses the mass redstone layout used all over the town.

The architecture uses a straight column used in Thebes, Ancient Greece. The

rest is a mix of textural Greek designs.

Ancient-Greece.pngThanks to Danweldore, we now have a banner for Sparta! This is also our main flag we will be building in the future(Spartan Victory Gardens)!

It may take some time, but we can figure out a way to build it. Hope to see you all in game.

Calvalry Stables built by SuperSheep23 and NetherSpartan5

The stables were built in preperation for the upcoming 1.6.2 update. Sparta being a military-ideal town, was in need of calvalry. So I and sioustorm decided to start the stables before the update so it would be easier than having the horses on leashes and build the stables. After building the stables, I inducted SuperSheep23 as our towns Calvalry Captain rank.

The stables are a mixture of Modern day roofings, Greek wall-plans. Building it with wood was the better choice, cause making another Brick building would seem bland.

Sparta Informational Post:
With a lot of stuff being done in my life right now, I feel the need to post information about Sparta before I start putting answers on tests with stuff from VeteranCraft (it has happened before).

Governmental Structure:
Governoer-NetherSpartan5
Lt. Governoer (Military Rank Lt.)-sioustorm
Defense General-ikertxikuri
Secretary of Road Management-NightCrafter35
Plot and Zoning Secretary-lbraff (Hiring. As lbraff has stepped down)

Open Positions:
Governoer Advisor- Gives advice on what should be done.
Calvalry Captain (Military Rank Cpt.)-SuperSheep23 (helped with stables)
Secretary of Portal Worlds- Represents Sparta in other towns and Portal Worlds (OR, SR, End, and Nether). *Must be an Ambassador*
Secretary of Plot Constriction- Oversees housing in the town, informs of illegal builds, posts Removal Requests, and checks for Sparta's Build Regulations.
Represenative of Mining Corps.-Controls a group of Miners that map out Mining Zones.
Represenative of Military Readiness- Inspects Military and works alongside Defense General.

Being a Represenative Democracy, the town will vote on the group of Secretaries (if there's enough willing to run). Represenatives are handpicked by the Governoer for being trustworthy, mature, residents of Sparta.

Residents:
NetherSpartan5 240pgru
sioustorm play3master20
warfare2200 NightCrafter35 (planning)
ikertxikuri lbraff (former)
ChiefChamp iTzD4V (former)
MichaelAlmosch

Future of Sparta:
Sparta will be cut up into 6 districts: Political, Thebes, Arcadia, West Sparta, Corsica, and Anzember. The themes of the towns are still being debated, but one thing is holding down progress: lapse of money. Sparta's progress is halted until A). I become a Donor or B). I win events (not likely). But the 300 shillings from voting does help. The Districts Arcadia and Corsica are dedicated to Events and entertainment. Corsica will hold large amounts of land for Build-offs and Misc. Events while Arcadia houses a Spleef, PvP, Track, Parkour, and Archery Arenas. I hope VeteranCraft picks these places for Future Events. Anzember is a waterway community for sightseers, and Thebes and West Sparta are more for housing, government, and builders (Plots and monuments).

Sparta vs. Alternia II
Sparta is at war again, and anyone willing enough to join can enlist by PMing me or any Officials ingame or sending me a PM on the forums. Battles begin Sunday, September 8th, 2013, rules will be handed out that Saturday. Prepare Fellow Soldiers and Spartans!

Well, that's it for Sparta's info, if your still curious, I should have Lore Wiki page as soon as someone authorizes my User. I hope to see yall in Sparta or in-game. Oorah to you all.

Executive Plot Houses

Designer's Name: NetherSpartan5 (and help from a friend: Thebaxix)

Architectural Designs: Ancient Greek and Roman

Information:

Populations in Sparta were running slim, so I decided to create 5 Plot Designs, this being the most grand. Each of the plots are based in two districts: Thebes (Active) and West Sparta (Under Construction), while the plots may vary in between. With that said, heres the information on the Executive Plot.

Executive Plots are the Top Dog plots of Sparta. Theses plots will first go to a group of trustees that I will list off for free, then there will be Special Offers, then the prices will go to 2500 or 3000 (Half-prices on holidays). The owners of these plots would become "Hoplites of Sparta", meaning that they are given access to the Spartan Armory (being planned) and Honorable Titles. NOTE-Owners must have played on VeteranCraft for at least 3 months and have knowledge of how things run on the server (We are a fairly disciplined town, we intend to keep it that way).

Extras:

*SuperSheep you're Interior Designs skills are needed as soon as construction begins!*

Next Post will contain Trusted Members list and First Special Offer!

Acolyte House

Designed by: NetherSpartan5

Architectural Designs: Ancient Roman

Information: The second plot design going up early October. Nothing fancy, nothing expensive, just your typical average home. The owners of these houses must have been on the server for at least 1 month (no ban reports, we thin out the Criminals). Prices would range from 150 to 250 after the Special Offers and Discounts once we open them up to the public. No special perms are given to the owners, but they receive the title "Acolyte".

Extra:

*Echo...the Bill of Rights used bits and pieces of former documents, my Thread can too.

*Special Offers will be 20% off the Opening Day, Christmas is the cheapest time at 35% off.

I really like the use of quartz, nether brick, and redstone items together to make your town buildings. Keep up the good work!

Architectural Type: Ancient Roman Church

The 3rd and final plot at the moment. For those who enjoy nice Architecture and Designs, this plot is for you. Owners must have been playing VeteranCraft for 5 to 6 months or more, and must have a clean ban report. The building is priced 1500 and is cut to 1000 after the Special Discount. Other perms are the Title "Architecturae Fanaticus" and the access to the Armory (soon to be a massive storage room containing stuff from Weapons to Armor). *Note*- Plots will only be found in Thebes (West Sparta is designated for: Free Build, Executive, Courtyard and Armory).

Extra-

*Special Offers are to be fixed a bit, so are prices.

*The Lore Wiki page is underway, soon to be opened to the public.

*Money is once again tight, anyone with jobs PM me in-game. (Donations are welcome).

*SuperSheep, as soon as the first 3 Executive Houses are finished, I need your Interior Designing skills.

Sparta Information Post #2:
A renewed version of the previous information post. Not gonna name the positions this time.

Plots:
[Thebes]
Political Blvd. Plots-Best plots, and only plots at the moment. This is the main road in Sparta to contain plots. (Executive and Acolyte)

Wither Skeleton Courtyards (Planning)-This road contains the only Courtyard plots in Thebes. (Courtyards)

District Construction:
[Thebes]
1/2 complete. 6 plots have been added and are almost ready to be sold.
[Arcadia]
Being planned at the moment. First building to be inducted: Thebaxix Spleef Arena on December 25th, 2013.
[West Sparta]
Last District that is going to be up and running before the New Year. The only building being planned to go up is: Spartan Chain of Command Building (The Pentagon of Sparta).

The Kimoto-Greek Pact:
Brainstormed by NetherSpartan and Danweldore, The Kingdom Pact is a Sister City bond between Shima Kimoto and Sparta. If Shima Kimoto runs into trouble, Sparta will be quick to respond to Shima Kimoto's needs.

The Miners of the West Pact:
A pact between Sparta and the recently renewed town Mineshaftia. The towns are pretty nearby and the owners of both towns are related so this pact was created. This Pact is used when people are allowed to team during Events, the towns join forces to try and win the event.

[Note]- If your town interacts with Sparta a lot, you can become a Sister City with us. Just PM NetherSpartan (via forums or ingame) or sioustorm (ingame). We can work out a pact name and terms. (Must know the town Sparta, and have owned a town for 2 weeks).

Operated under: lbraff (subject to change)

Designed by: lbraff and Thebaxix

Architectural Type: Tower

Built for the purpose of keeping information in a specific place, the Info Outpost is intended to hold information on the Plots and the local District's plans, government, and residents. The plans for these Outposts is they're gonna be located in each and every District in the most dense area of the City-State. Inside the Outpost is a central room that holds the locations and prices of Plots that are for sale, along with this is a section of a wall dedictated to the Government of the District. Upstairs will be the plans and events happening in Sparta.

Extra:

*Since lbraff has stepped down, a new Plot and Zoning Secretary is needed. Since lbraff "stepped" down, a new person is to replace his spot without an election (unless two decide to run). A Plot and Zoning Secretary is a personnel who maintains information on Sparta, plans and zones the Districts, and keeps up to date with who resides in Sparta. PM me in-game or via Forum "Inbox" to ask to run (I would like to hold an election though, to see if having an election in the future work).

Welcome to the Spartan Biome!

Designed by: NetherSpartan5, QueenNether, Thebaxix (The mastermind of most Spartan builds), and AxisPowers

Architectural Design: High School/Division III Football Stadium

District[New]: Arcadia

Information: After two very stressing weeks, I have finally finished the Stadium... in Creative. With a very awesome set plan in mind (secret for you to find out), I believe this is the best build in Sparta so far (NOT house-wise). When you first enter, you're welcomed with a small, simple lobby area. Once you exit to the main seating area, you enter a dark, foreboding tri-stairwell. Once out, you'll be awed (or "This Sucks") with a Spleef Stadium. My only regret is that I never created an Executive Seating area (Hoplites, Staff, Alliance City Leaders, and Spartan Govt. Officials), but I may get this in when I start construction.

Extra:

*If you are willing to help with construction, PM NetherSpartan5 or nak1030 (it's time nak, that you become a Spartan Worker) in-game. In return, you'll get your IGN postered on a memorial in-front of the Stadium, dedicated to those who helped.

Spartan Information Post #3:
The last major information post before "A Spartan Christmas".

Plots:
I have decided to scratch the "Architectural Wonder" plot due to its complex design and lack of available resources. The 3 designs that will be seen in Sparta are: Free Build, Acolyte, and Executive.

Districts:
[Thebes]
Sadly, Thebes didn't hit its deadline. Due to multiple bumps in the road, Thebes was just a week shy of its deadline. But this shall not put a limp in progress, I expect to be selling plots by November 10th.
[Historical]
The first District to be retired, Historical Sparta is getting a major upgrade. Historical Sparta will be resed as a part of West Sparta. But before this, the two major builds to be done before this are: The Historical Society House and Armory/Vault. (More info will be released with the posts about the builds).
[West Sparta]
Nothing is really going on here, except for some road expansions.
{Christmas Expansion Districts}
-Corsica
-Anzember (Minor)
-Arcadia
{2014 Expansion Districts}
-The Ancient Greek Islands
-The Mountain City of the Raffi'anie

2013-12-28_16.07.19.pngImage EnlargerSparta's 1st Drop Party

Enjoy some goods!

I have noticed that my chests have become a little... full. So in that case I must get rid of some stuff. So I thought why not do a Drop Party and help others out. So here is some information on this Party:

Price to Party: 300 Shillings (Just vote new ones. If you dont pay, you dont play. You can watch us have fun through the windows I have placed.)

Location: Sparta

Time: 6:00 Eastern Time

Some Items In the Drop Party:

-Emeralds         -Horse Armor (2 Iron, 1 Gold)

-Diamonds        -Lvl. 30 Enchanted Books

-Saddles           -Potions

-Iron                -Enchanted Diamond Equipment

-Music Dics       ....and more!

Also:

-Free Giveaways

-Tour of Sparta

...and a Quest!

Now some of you have a tough time getting to Sparta. Here are some directions:

Donors: ./res tp AncientThebes.SpartaVisitorCenterIII

Non-Donors: Go to the Dwarf City Portal Ship (I will have someone stationed there). Once in Dwarf City, work your way through two ways (Look West and move through the entrance, then head straight North from there) or find a little staircase into the Vault of Dwarf City and work your way through to ladders that lead up into the City. I will have another man stationed there to direct you guys to Sparta as well. Once in Sparta, look for a large building that looks like it's still being built... pay NetherSpartan5 300 shillings and enjoy the goods!

Note: You dont need to sign up. This is a Heads Up Post. Just pay and play!
